2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING The unit uses dangerous mains
voltage . Leave servicing to skilled
personnel and do not insert any-
thing into the air vents; inexpert
handling may result in electric
shock .

The unit is suitable for indoor use only . Protect
it against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity and heat (admissible ambi-
ent temperature range 0 – 40 °C) .
•
Do not place any vessels filled with liquid, e . g .
drinking glasses, on the unit .
•
Immediately disconnect the mains plug from
the mains socket if
1 . the unit or the mains cable is visibly
damaged,
2 . a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3 . malfunctions occur .
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel .

Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket, always
seize the plug .
•
No guarantee claims for the unit and no
liability for any resulting personal damage
or material damage will be accepted if the
unit is used for other purposes than originally
intended, if it is not safely mounted, if it is not
correctly connected or operated, or if it is not
repaired in an expert way .
If the unit is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful
to the environment .
3 Applications
The light effect unit LED-162RGBW creates
rotating colour light patterns and white running
light effects . It can be used for stage applications
and in discotheques, for example .
For control via a DMX light controller, the
unit can be operated via one or four DMX con-
trol channels . However, it can also be operated
independently, running an automatic or music-
controlled light show program . In addition,
multiple LED-162RGBW can be interconnected
.
(master/slave mode) to create synchronous light
effects .
4 Setting the Unit into Operation
4.1 Installation
•
Place the unit at a location where sufficient air
circulation is ensured during operation . Never
cover the air vents of the housing .
•
The minimum distance to the object illumi-
nated must be 50 cm .
WARNING When installing the unit at a
safety rope . Guide the rope through the eye-
bolt (2) and fasten it, making sure that the
maximum falling distance of the unit will not
exceed 20 cm .
1) Use the mounting bracket (6) to fasten the
LED-162RGBW, e . g . to a crossbar with a
stable mounting screw or with a light beam
support (C hook) .
2) To align the unit, release the two locking
screws (1) . Tilt the unit as desired and then
retighten the screws .
4.2 Power supply
Use the mains cable provided to connect the
mains jack (3) of the unit to a socket (230 V~/
50 Hz) . The unit will be switched on:
When the unit is started, the operating mode
most recently selected will be activated . The
display (10) will indicate the mode for approx .
30 seconds . Then only a dot will light up on
the display to indicate power . When one of the
control buttons (12) is pressed, the display will
be illuminated for 30 seconds again .

Please note that fast changes in lighting may
trigger epileptic seizures with photosensitive
