4 Setting Into Operation
1) Connect the BNC output jack MONITOR (7) to one or more
monitors via a 75 Ω RF cable (e. g. MONACOR VEC-
62/10). Pay attention to the correct 75 Ω termination at the
monitor resp. at the last monitor if connected in series. In-
sert a camera selector switch or a video splitter between
the power supply units and the monitor (e. g. MONACOR
TVSP-410) when using several cameras.
2) Connect the BNC jack CAMERA VOLTAGE OUT /
CAMERA SIGNAL IN (8) to the jack CAMERA VOLTAGE
IN / CAMERA SIGNAL OUT at the camera via a 75 Ω RF
cable. In order to keep cable power loss at a minimum, use
high-quality cable for lengths over 100 m. Adjust the slide
switch (9) to the corresponding position for the cable
length compensation:
Position
NORMAL
200 m
400 m
600 m
3) For the power supply plug the included plug-in transformer
into the jack (5) and into a socket (230 V~/50 Hz). As an
alternative a mains transformer with a secondary voltage
of 24 V~ can be connected to the screw connections (4).
The current consumption is 700 mA. The application of a
corresponding mains transformer of sufficient power capac-
ity is especially advisable if several cameras are used.
4) Switch on the power supply unit with the power switch (2).
The POWER indicator (3) lights.
5) Adjust the VOLTAGE ADJ. control (6) so that the
VOLTAGE CONTROL LED (1) lights. The camera will then
be supplied with the optimum operating voltage.
