TOASTER
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read carefully and save for future use!
Warning: The safety measures and instructions, contained in this manual, do not include all conditions and
situations possible. The user must understand that common sense, caution and care are factors that cannot
be integrated into any product. Therefore, these factors shall be ensured by the user/s using and operating
this appliance. We are not liable for damages caused during shipping, by incorrect use, voltage fl uctuation or
the modifi cation or adjustment of any part of the appliance.
To protect against a risk of fi re or electric shock, basic precautions shall be taken while using electrical
appliances, including the following:
1.
Make sure the voltage in your outlet corresponds to the voltage provided on the appliance label and that
the socket is properly grounded. The outlet must be installed according to valid safety instructions.
2. Do not operate toaster with a damaged cord. All repairs including cord replacements shall be
performed by a professional service centre! Do not remove protective covers of the appliance,

risk of electric shock!
3.
Protect the appliance against direct contact with water and other liquids, to prevent potential electric
shock.
4. Do not leave the toaster running unattended. Avoid touching the metal parts or hot surfaces when using
the appliance. Only touch the On switch and the buttons.

Leaving the toaster cord connected to outlet unattended is not recommended. Disconnect the cord
from the electrical outlet prior to performing maintenance. Do not pull the cord from the outlet by
yanking the cord. Unplug the cord from the outlet by grasping the plug.
6. Do not use the toaster outdoors or in moist environments. Do not touch the cord or toaster with wet
hands. Risk of electric shock.

Close supervision is necessary for operating the toaster near children!
8. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or lead the cord over sharp edges.

Bread products inside the toaster can catch fi re. Do not use the appliance near or under infl ammable
objects (for example around curtains). The temperature of surfaces near the operating appliance can
be hotter than usual. Place the toaster out of reach of other objects to ensure suffi cient air circulation
needed for its proper operation. Do not cover the toasting slots.
10. Do not insert oversized bread into the toaster. Should the bread become stuck in the toaster, unplug the
cord from the outlet and wait until the toaster cools down. After the toaster is cooled, remove the slice of
bread.
11. Do not insert oversized bread slices or irregularly sliced bread which could jam the toaster mechanism.
Should the bread become stuck in the toaster, do not use metal kitchen utensils (spoon, knife...), which
could cause a short circuit, to remove the bread.
12. Be careful not to scratch or otherwise damage the metal covers with solid objects, or not to hit the
appliance on a sharp edge.
13. Keep the toaster away from hot surfaces and sources of heat (for example, hot plates).
14. Placing slices of bread directly on the toaster cover or slot can lead to damaging the toaster! Do not toast
bread that can melt (with topping) or leak into the toaster and do not toast small pieces of bread or heels
as this can cause damage or fi re.
15. The toaster cannot be used if tilted or turned on its side.
16. Do not put your fi ngers or any metal objects into the toaster slots.
17. This appliance can be used by children ages 8 and older and by the physically and mentally impaired or
by individuals with insuffi cient experience and knowledge, if supervised or trained to use the appliance
in a safe manner and understand potential dangers. Cleaning and maintenance operations performed
by the user shall not be carried out by children, if they are not older than 8 years and under supervision.
Children under the age of 8 shall keep away from the appliance and its power supply.
