6.0 CONTROL DEVICES
When unit is turned on, all leds on front panel lights, after 2 seconds if no anomalies
have been found, some leds turns off and only green led (1) and red led (5) stay on.
Green led (1) indicates that the unit is correctly powered and red led (5) indicates that
the unit is set for Stick welding.
Unit is ready for stick welding, set the desired current acting on the regulation knob (8).
-
Green Led (1): led is on when there's input voltage to the unit. If overvoltage protection
intervenes the green led will blink and each 10 seconds the unit will make some
checks to verify if the input voltage is back to the established parameters (220V/
240V). Only when the green led will stay on it will be possible to use the unit.
-
Red led (2): led is blinking when undervoltage protection (150V) intervenes. If
voltage goes under 150V for less than 3 seconds the unit doesn't stop, if the input
voltage is under 150V for more than 3 seconds the unit protects itself and stops.
Each 10 seconds the unit makes some checks of the input voltage parameters. In
this phase the green led blinks and the red led (2) blinks faster.
-
Unit OFF: when unit is turned off the green led (1) stays on and the red led (2)
blinks for some seconds. The red led (5) also stays on to show the set welding
function. After some seconds all leds go out.
-
Should the set welding current be too low for the electrode we are using or should
the unit be in short circuit (electrode sticks on the piece) power generator protects
itself and shows the anomaly by lighting the red led (2). Till the unit detects the
anomaly it doesn't work. The unit automatically resets when the cause of the
anomaly has been removed.
-
MODE push button (4): by pressing the MODE push button it is possible to
select the desired welding process: STICK or TIG.
