Connect (HW + CW) 2x DN 15 – NPS 1/2" using angle valves
with integrated fi lter (included in scope of delivery).
In addition to the fi lters in the angle valves, a main fi lter
(backwash-capable) is recommended.
The customer must provide a pressure-reducing valve
downstream of the water meter (main line).
If a circulation line is used (DN 12), the connection of the cir-
culation line must be at least 24" away from the angle valves.
Calculate the pipe network according to DIN 1988, EN 806.
A pressure test of the overall installation (without angle valves)
with 1.5 times the max. permissible operating pressure is
absolutely required. Please consult the currently valid regulati-
ons for the exact procedure for the pressure test (preliminary/
main test) depending on the pipe material used. Create a test
report.
Flushing of the overall installation with clean water is abso-
lutely required (the valid guidelines for the fl ushing are to be
observed). Create a fl ushing report. Flushing is to be carried
out no later than mounting of the FOOT BATH and commissi-
oning.
An inspection opening for the affusion pipe and for the elec-
trical components and water connections is to be provided
by the customer. If the operating elements are installed in the
wall, installation with metal stud framing is mandatory. The
pre-assembly kit of the operating elements and the con-
necting cables must be assembled when the curtain wall is
closed.
Area of application
The devices are not designed for outdoor use. If use in
environments containing steam, chlorine or salt is planned,
consultation with Dornbracht is recommended.
Water hardness
Recommended water hardness: 0.34 - 0.39 ppm CaCO
If the water is harder, a water softener is to be installed in the
main cold water supply line.
Hot water provision
An individual determination of requirements (e.g. acc. to DIN
4708-2) is absolutely required to select the optimum device
for the hot water tank, taking into account additional tapping
points and simultaneous use. If the hot water temperature in
the hot water tank is set to more than 60° C, a thermostatic
mixing valve must be installed downstream of the tank (e.g.
for a solar-heated boiler). If periodic object-based thermal
disinfection is required, an appropriate (manual or automatic
operation) bypass of the thermostatic mixing valve must be
provided.

Outlet capacity / connected load [CL] 0.24 gps,
drain pipe DN 50 – NPS 2".

Service
4 mm²
The integrated BA-type backfl ow must be regularly serviced by
a qualifi ed installer. Proper functioning is tested after the fi rst
year of operation and thereafter periodically depending on the
operating conditions, but after 1 year at the latest. A test report
is to be prepared. The angle valve fi lters and the fi lters installed
by the customer must be cleaned at least once a year and, if
necessary, replaced.
Electrical system
Make electrical connections only when the components are
not under power. Electrical installation is to be carried out
by an electrician according to VDE 0100. Divergent national
regulations are to be heeded.
The pre-assembly kit of the operating elements (for wall as-
sembly) and the connecting cables must be assembled when
the curtain wall is closed.
The devices may be connected only to original Dornbracht
components.
The maximum distance between the sub-distribution or the
main distribution and the FOOT BATH is 45 feet
(conduit
1").

The following circuit breakers and electrical components are
to be provided by the customer:
- Protective circuit breaker (30 mA, 2-pin, type A)
- Circuit breaker (6 A, type B)
- Contact breaker (16 A, 1S, 230 V AC).
