2. Operating precautions

• Do not use solvent, alcohol, benzene, or other vola-
tile substances for cleaning the external parts of the
speaker.
• If the speaker is used in particulary could places,
drive it with a low signal for 5-10 minutes before
using it at maximum power.

3. Introduction

The CSN-N is a wall-mount speaker which can be
used singly for audio reproduction in small spaces
(e.g. hotel rooms, small waiting rooms, etc.), or in
groups for extensive and uniform audio reproduction
in large spaces. The CSN-N can be directly connected
to constant impedance audio lines, and can also be
used in systems with constant voltage at 70 V or 100
V by installing the dedicated line transformer.

Main features

• Body in shockproof white plastic.
• Elliptical full-range loudspeaker.
• Factory-set for incorporating a line transformer
for constant voltage systems.
• Quick and easy installation.

4. Installation

WARNING: Make sure that the speaker is
installed in a stable and secure way in
order to avoid any conditions that may be
dangerous for persons or structures.
Check to make sure that the support surface (e.g.
wall, etc.) has the necessary mechanical characteri-
stics to support the weight of the speaker without the
danger of it falling.
Before suspending the speaker, carefully check all
the components to be used to make sure that there is
no damage, deformation, corrosion and/or missing or
damaged parts that could reduce the safety of the
installation.
In outdoor use, avoid installing the speaker in pla-
ces exposed to harsh weather conditions.
To prevent the risk of electrical shock, when the
speaker is equipped with a line transformer (e.g. TD
106), make sure the speaker is positioned in a place
that is normally inaccessible.
1. Attach two screw anchors with hook, nails with
head, or screws with head to the wall at a distance
of 150 mm (5.9"), making sure the two supports
are aligned on the horizontal plane, as shown in
Figure 1. When using nails or screws, the head
diameter must be between 7 mm (0.275") and 10
mm (0.394").
WARNING: Always use support ele-
ments suitable for the material of the
wall that will support the speaker
(e.g. screw anchors for bricks, screw anchors for
cement, etc.).
2. Make the electrical connections as described in
the section below.
3. Using the two slots A (Fig. 1, page 22), hang the
speaker on the supports previously installed and
run the connection cable out of the grooving B.

5. Connections

WARNING: To prevent the risk of electric
shock, do not connect the speaker with
the amplifier switched on.
Before using the speaker, carefully check that all
the connections have been made correctly to make
sure there are no accidental short circuits that could
cause electrical sparks.
When connecting the speaker to constant voltage
lines (by means of the optional transformer), always
use standard terminals.
The CSN-N speaker has been designed to connect
to constant impedance audio lines (e.g. 4 Ω ) by
means of the loudspeaker terminals. Using the optio-
nal TD 106 transformer, the speaker can also be con-
nected to constant voltage lines at 70 V or 100 V.
Constant impedance systems connec-
tions
The connections with the audio line are made by
means of the FASTON connectors on the loudspeaker.
1. Connect one of the two terminals of the loud-
speaker to the positive conductor (+) of the audio
line. If the electroacoustic system is composed of
multiple speakers, it is important that the
speakers be connected "in phase"; i.e. always
connect the positive conductor (+) of the audio
line to the same terminal of each of the speakers.
2. Connect the other terminal of the loudspeaker to
the negative conductor (-) of the audio line.
The conductors of the audio line can be soldered
directly to the loudspeaker terminals, or they can be
connected by means of female FASTON connectors of
2.8 x 0.8 mm (0.11" x 0.031"). If the electroacoustic
system requires the use of multiple speakers, they
can be connected in series (see Fig. 2, page 22) or in
parallel (see Fig. 3, page 23).
