2. You can make various settings by pressing the MODE button (18):
Press 1 x: Date and time are shown alternately.
Press 2 x: The currently set month is shown. The setting can be changed with the
SET button (17).
Press 3 x: The currently set day is shown. The setting can be changed with the SET
button (17).
Press 4 x: The currently set hour is shown. The setting can be changed with the SET
button (17). You can switch between 24-hour display (H) and 12-hour clock
(AM and PM).
Press 5 x: The currently set minutes are shown. The setting can be changed with the
SET button (17).
Press 6 x: Display the time again.
If there is a power cut or the mains plug has been removed from the power socket, the set-
tings will be retained if the power reserve batteries are inserted.
1. Open the battery compartment on the underside.
2. Connect a 9 V, E compound battery to the supply connection. Please ensure the cor-
rect polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment again.
4. If the device is not used for a prolonged period of time, please take the batteries out in
order to prevent leakage of battery acid.
CAUTION:
Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic wastes. Dispose of the used
batteries at the relevant collection bin or at your dealer's.
WARNING:
Do not expose the batteries to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Never throw batter-
ies into the fire. There is a danger of explosion!
