Maintenance
Observe standard EN 60079-29-2 and the relevant national laws and regulations.
Daily
Visual inspection to establish readiness for operation.
During commissioning
Check zero point and sensitivity calibration, Page 33 to Page 34.
Check signal transmission to the controller unit and triggering of alarms.
At regular intervals,
as specified by those responsible for the gas detection system (and which should not exceed
an interval of six months):
Check zero point and sensitivity calibration, Page 33 to Page 34.
Check the transmission of signals to the controller unit and the triggering of alarms,
(function SL – Set power output to X mA, Page 31).
It must in particular be regularly ensured that gas can freely penetrate the sinter disk and that
there are neither corrosion nor deposits of dust, oil or aerosols.
Every six months
Inspection by trained personnel.
The inspection intervals must be established in each individual case depending on safety
considerations, process conditions, and the technical requirements of the equipment.
We recommend that a DrägerService contract be concluded and that repairs also be carried out
by them.
