Applications

The SCITS100 Secondary Current Injection Test Set is designed to test and prove existing or newly installed
protective gear, such as relays, overload coils, circuit breakers, trip coils and motor overloads by means of secondary
injection. In particular, it is intended to test relays such as Inverse Definite Minimum Time (I.D.M.T.) as well as
Instantaneous, Thermal and Directional relays. The instrument is fully portable and suitable for field or laboratory use.
As well as checking that the protective gear functions properly, the SCITS100's counter section is designed to
measure the operating time of any device in which a pair of contacts open or close.
The 0 — 240 V d.c. output of the SCITS100 can be used to test d.c. voltage instantaneous relays, such as those used
with Sub-station batteries.
The separate 0 — 120 V a.c. output can be used during the testing of directional relays.
