CLEANING
Danger:
• Allow the appliance to cool fully before cleaning it or storing it away. Do not carry the
waffle iron when it is full or switched on or if it has not yet fully cooled.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
Caution:
• Do not use rough or abrasive cleaning products or sponges on the non-stick coating of
the waffle plates and on the outer surfaces of the waffle iron, as this may cause damage.
1. Unplug the waffle iron.
2. Remove crumbs from the waffle plates.
3. Wipe the waffle plates and the casing of the waffle iron with a slightly damp cloth.
4. Then dry the waffle plates and the casing with a soft cloth.
Remains of batter that have burned into the waffle plates can be removed easily by slightly
greasing them with cooking oil. After a few minutes the batter remains can be easily
removed. After cleaning, the power cord can be wrapped around the cord storage on the
underside of the appliance. To store the waffle iron in a space-saving way, you can place it
on end onto its handles.
RECIPES AND TIPS
TIPS
• Crisply baked waffles quickly go soggy if you stack them on top of each other. Place
them next to each other on a wire rack.
• The waffles will be softer and darker if you use milk instead of water.
• Whole meal flour also gives good results.
• Be sure that all of the ingredients are thoroughly mixed to ensure that the waffles brown
evenly all over.
