Attention! Danger of electrical shock. Ensure that the cable connections
are dry.
The included power supply and the plug connections of the power lines are not
waterproof, but only rain and splash proof protected. They must not be installed
inside the water. Secure the plug connectors against moisture. The power supply
must be installed in a safe condition and must have a minimum distance of 2 me-
ters to the edge of the pond. Lay the cable so that it is not damaged. Use only
cables that are approved for outdoor use. Operate the device only using a socket
with a protective contact. This must be established according to the applicable
national regulations. Ensure that the protective conductor is passed all the way
through to the device. Never use installations, adapters, extension or connec-
ting leads without a protective contact! Ensure that the device is supplied with
a rated residual current of not more than 30 mA via a residual current device
(FI or RCD). Mains connection cables must not have a smaller cross-section than
rubber hose cables with the short code H05RN-F. Extension cables must com-
ply with DIN VDE 620. Use cables only when unwound. Electrical installations on
garden ponds and swimming ponds must comply with national and international
installation regulations. Compare the electrical data of the supply network with
those of the type label.
The device must not be operated if the cable or housing is defective! Pull the
mains plug! Do not carry or pull the device on its connection cable. Only operate
the device with its power supply unit. Never open the housing of the appliance or
its associated parts, unless explicitly stated in the operating instructions. Always
unplug the power cord from all devices in the water and from this unit before
performing any work on the unit! If you have any questions or problems, please
contact your electrician for your own safety!
