This battery charger is designed to charge sealed maintenance-free SEMITRAK and TUBULAR CELL batteries 12V-24V (6
cells) mounted on LOGITRANS products.
The charger is able to charge completely discharged batteries, i.e. batteries that have been unintentionally allowed to
become totally flat. The charger incorporates electronics which give protection against short-circuiting, incorrect connection,
overloading and overcharging. These instructions do however assume that:
1. The battery has been correctly maintained in accordance with the supplier's instructions.
2. The charging instructions are correctly observed.
The electronic protection circuit is set for 14.4V.(Tubular ) 15.0V - 28.8V. (Tubular) 30.5V
WARNING
Battery acid is highly corrosive. Acid splaches on clothes must be rinsed off with running water. Acid on the skin or in the
eyes must be fluched away with running water. Call a doctor if in doubt.
Switch off the power supply before connecting or disconnecting the charger. Do not use naked flame or apparatus that
produces sparks near batteries being charged. Charging produces oxyhydrogen gas which is highly explosive. Therefore,
ensure good ventilation.
CONNECTING THE CHARGER
1. Connect the charger to the battery using the charging plug so that the red lead from the charger is connected to the
battery plus pole (+) and the back lead to the minus pole (-).
2. Connect the charger mains plug to the mains socket.
3. After charging is complete, disconnect the power supply at the plug. Then remove the charger-battery plug.
ENSURE THAT THIS SEQUENCE IS ALWAYS FOLLOWED.
