SwitchboxSet (Switchbox kit)

Intended use

The SwitchboxSet (switchbox kit) makes it possible to com-
bine the Truma air conditioning unit and a socket with the
Truma TG 1000 sinus power inverter.
Only to be used in combination with the ElektrikSet (electrical
kit), the AutarkSet (autonomy kit) and the KlimaSet (air condi-
tioning kit) cable sets. (Connections shown in grey in the con-
necting diagram, unless they are connected differently here to
the way that is described in the kits!)
– ElektrikSet (Part no. 40090-23100) – for making an electrical
connection between the TG 1000 sinus power inverter and
an auxiliary battery and the alternator.
– KlimaSet (Part no. 40090-25900) – for operating the
Saphir vario or Saphir compact air conditioning unit.
– AutarkSet (Part no. 40090-26200) – for operating a
230 V unit (up to 1000 W) via a socket.
Important Notes
The 230 V electrical connection must always be made
by an expert (in accordance with VDE 0100, part 721 or
prIEC 60364-7-721, for example, in Germany). The instructions
shown here do not constitute a request for non-experts to
make the electrical connection, but serve as additional infor-
mation for an expert who is employed to do the work!
Please pay attention to the installation instructions for the
TG 1000 sinus power inverter!
The 12 V cables must be routed separately from the
230 V cables (empty tube).
Route connecting cables in such a way that they cannot cha-
fe. Please use the empty tube that is available as an accessory
(part no. 60010-54500). Please also use leadthrough bushings
or edge protection profiles where there are sharp edges such
as metal panel leadthroughs.
The connecting cables and plugs must not be subjected to
force (strain relief). All cables must be securely attached and
must not become loose or disconnected due to vibration – risk
of fire!

KlimaSet connection
– connect 230 V power cable (3 m) from AutarkSet to pow-
er inverter (a) and connect to national network connection.
– connect 230 V power cable of air conditioning unit to X2
of switchbox.
– cut plug from 230 V power cable (6 m) from AutarkSet
and connect this end of cable to X3 of switchbox. Connect
welded cable ends to socket.
– connect 230 V power cable (1 m) from SwitchboxSet to
X1 of switchbox and connect to power inverter (c).
Use a cable tie to tie the blue and brown wires of the
230 V power cable (1 m) connections to the switch-
box (X1, X2, X3) together after connecting. This prevents the
230 V cable from touching the 12 V cable if a wire slips out!
If necessary, use the 230 V power cable extension (total
length max. 10 m). (Truma accessory; 3 m extension for
power cable with locking pawl for strain relief, part no.
40090-85800.)
Plug red/black switching cable (1 m) with grey plug to X5
of switchbox. Connect black cable with ring eye to ground or
–B connecting bolt (I) of the power inverter (beneath securing
washer). Plug in red cable with 6.3 mm flat connector in
housing of sensor connector block at (Out) location.
