Replacing the Xenon bulb
1
Loosen securing screws
2
Turn connecting plug and
remove.
3
Unlock headlamp insert using
enclosed tool and remove.
4
Unlock bayonet ring to the left
and remove.
5
Replace lamp and lock bayonet
ring to the right.
6
Put headlamp insert and
housing together and allow to
snap in audibly on both sides.
The marker lamp may never be
operated without the bulb as this
can result in dangerous voltage
sparkovers on the plug which lead
to damage.
Allow the bulb to cool first of all.
When replacing the bulbs, use
protective goggles and safety
gloves.
Put connecting plug onto bulb
again, press in and stop, screw in
safety screw.
Dispose of the replaced Xenon bulb
as special waste. Check function
and adjustment of the headlamps.
Have the driving headlamps
adjusted in a specialist garage or
at a service station.
Only correctly adjusted
headlamps provide optimum
light.
The glass body of the Xenon bulb is
filled with gases and metal vapours
and is under pressure (risk of
splinters).
Never touch the glass tubes of the
Xenon bulb, only grip the bulb by
the base.
Remove finger prints on the glass
tubes with a clean cloth and
alcohol.
Only operate the bulb in closed
headlamp.
One more tip:
Keep the cover lens clean. Dirt
can absorb up to 80% of the
light output.
Do you have spare bulbs and
fuses in the car?
If you have questions or
problems with installation: ring
up the Hella customer surface.
