WARNING: Risk of electric shock!
• Always pull out the plug from the mains socket before cleaning and
wait until the unit has cooled down.
CAUTION:
• Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive
objects.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Never poor cold water on a hot plate, this
could damage the device and can cause
splashing of hot water.
Thermostat
Please clean the thermostat with a soft paper
towel or a soft dry cloth.
Griddle
• Please remove any food residues while they
are still warm with a damp cloth or paper towel.
• Wipe the griddle (4) with a soft sponge and
soapy water, rinse with clean water, and dry
thoroughly with a soft cloth. After drying, please
apply a thin film of edible oil to the surface.
Fat collecting Tray
• Remove the fat collecting tray (3) from the ap-
pliance.
• Discard the contents.
• Clean the tray in warm soapy water.
• Reattach the fat collecting tray (3) to the grill
when it is dry.
Bamboo frame
Clean the frame with a slightly damp cloth.
Storage
• Only store the appliance clean and after it has
cooled down.
• During longer periods of non-use we recom-
mend storing the appliance in its original
packaging.

• Always store the appliance in a well-ventilated
and dry place out of reach of children.
• Make sure the fat collecting tray (3) is posi-
tioned correctly.
CAUTION:
Before reinserting the thermostat make sure that
the interior of the socket is fully dry.

Troubleshooting

The appliance does not work
Possible cause:
The appliance is not connected to mains power.
Remedy:
• Check the wall outlet with a different appliance.
• Insert the plug properly in the wall outlet.
• Check the fuse.
The temperature is not controlled correctly
Possible cause:
The thermostat is not inserted correctly.
Remedy:
• Insert the thermostat plug properly
