LIFESPAN
The estimated lifespan of the product is 5 years. However, the following factors may reduce the
performance of the product and its lifespan: incorrect storage, improper use, fall arrest, deforma-
tion, contact with chemical products (alkali and acid), exposure to sources of heat > 60°C.
In order to improve the working-life of your device, it is advised not to:
► let go of the cable when it is completely unwound but follow it when it winds back into the
fall arrester. (Picture 1.15)
► leave the cable or the webbing out when not in use.
► expose the device to violent manipulations or to shocks.
► expose the fall arrester to bad weather.
TRANSPORT
During transport, check that your PPE is stored well away from any source of heat, damp, cor-
rosive atmosphere, ultraviolet rays, etc. ...
PACKAGING
This PPE is sold in rot proof and waterproof plastic packaging, with its instructions for use.
MARKINGS
► The name, trademark or any other means of identifying the manufacturer or the supplier,
► The product description and/or its reference, size,
► The material(s) of the main synthetic fibres used in constructing the equipment,
► The year of manufacture,
► The batch or serial number.
► Standards numbers complied with,
►
: The standardized pictogram informing the user to read the instructions.
