HOW TO FIT YOUR CHILD INTO
THE CHILD CAR SEAT
The tension of the child car seat belts can be
adjusted using the belt locking lever.
Before placing your child in the seat, push on
the "Press" area (there is a lever) and pull both
the shoulder belts (fig.11).
Place your child in the car seat, pass the belts
over your child's shoulders and place the two
connected ends of the shoulder belts inside
the quick release buckle and make sure they
are connected correctly as shown in fig.12.
Pull the central "C" belt (fig. 13) until the belts
are correctly adjusted, i.e.the belts must adhe-
re to your child's body without being loose.
Furthermore, having regulated the child car
seat once, it is not necessary to repeat the
operation, unless the volume of your child's
clothing changes, or if a further regulation
is required due to the growth of your child.
For daily use, employ only the rapid release
device; the partial sliding of the child car seat
belts enables you to put them on and off your
child's arms.
To remove your child from the car seat, press
the release button of the buckle. (fig.14).
NOTE: The child car seat is fitted with a 5-point
harness. The fifth securing point is the crotch
strap.
DETERMINING THE PROPER HEIGHT
OF THE SHOULDER HARNESSES
Always make sure that the openings in the
backrest through which the harnesses are pas-
sed are at shoulder level or just slightly above
shoulder level (Pic. 15). The backrest has two
harness positions (a - b) that must be used
according to the child's height. To change the
position of the harnesses, unfasten them from
the harness group connector "M" (Pic. 16)
and remove them from the backrest, together
with the shoulder straps; then, repeat these
steps in reverse order from the new position.

CHANGING OF THE CAR SEAT BELT
POSITION
Change the position as follow (pic.16):
-
Release the rear ends of the car seat belts
from the metal connector "M" behind the
back rest.
-
Remove the belts from the holes used pre-
viously.
-
Put the belts in the suitable height posi-
tion. Make sure they're not twisted, which
would prevent them from functioning cor-
rectly.
-
Fasten the ends of the harness belts in the
metal connector "M". Make sure that the
quick release buckle is connected proper-
ly and that the tension-adjustment slides
correctly.
WARNING
Never leave your child in the car seat with seat
belts fastened unattended.
Check regularly during use, that your child and
the car seat itself are properly positioned and
that the car seat is firmly and properly atta-
ched.
RECOMMENDATIONS
-
Never leave the child unattended.
-
The car seat should always be fitted with
3-point "roll-up" or fixed seat belts, even
when not in use. A non fixed car seat could
cause injury to other passengers in the
event of sudden braking.
-
Only suitable if the approved vehicles are
fitted with 3 point or static safety-belts,
approved to UN/ECE Regulation No. 16 or
other equivalent standards.
-
When placing the car seat in the car, make
sure that during use none of its compo-
nents is blocked by any moveable part of
the seat or the door of the car.
-
Any straps holding the restraint to the
vehicle should be tight. Any straps restrai-
ning the child should be adjusted to the
child's body, and that straps should not be
