OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Using Your Wine Bottle Opener
Your wine bottle opener has not yet
been charged. Before first use, the wine
bottle opener must be charged for a
period of 16 hours.
1. Place the wine bottle opener and
charging base on a level, dry, flat,
non slip surface.
CAUTION:
Do not place the wine
bottle opener and charging base in
areas exposed to direct sunlight. This
could cause overheating and damage.
Do not place near heat sources such as
ovens, heaters, fireplaces or near
candles.
2. The wine bottle opener should be
placed in the charging base with
opening, where corkscrew is located,
facing down. (Fig. 1) The front side
of the power button should be facing
the charging indicator light.
3. Push the wine bottle opener down
until you hear a click, and you see
the charging indicator light illuminate.

Foil
Cutter
Using the Foil Cutter
The foil cutter is a convenient tool to
remove the foil wrapping around a wine
bottle.
1. Remove the foil
cutter from it's
compartment in
the charging base.

2. To cut open the foil
wrapping covering the
cork, place the foil
cutter on the top of
the wine bottle. (Fig. 2)
3. Press the foil cutter
together with your
thumb and index
finger. (Fig. 3)

Make sure to hold the
wine bottle firmly.
4. Turn the wine bottle 360°. In some
cases you may need to repeat this
procedure more than once until you
can easily remove the foil wrapping.
To Remove the Cork From the Bottle
1. Place the wine bottle on a flat, level
surface and place the open end of
the wine bottle opener on the top of
the wine bottle.
2. Press the wine bottle opener down
firmly until the corkscrew has clearly
punctured the cork.
To Uncork
3. Press the lower portion
of the power button to
remove the cork. (Fig. 4)
4. The corkscrew will turn
clockwise working its
way into the cork. Do not
release the power button
until the corkscrew stops or the cork is
completely removed from the bottle.
NOTE: The wine bottle opener will
remove the cork from the bottle on its
own. The corkscrew will stop moving
when the cork has reached the top of the
cavity or the power button is released.
When the cork is at the top of the cavity,
the wine bottle opener can only be
operated in "Reverse".
CAUTION:
Ensure that no liquid flows
into the wine bottle opener or charging
stand. This could cause electrical shock.
Removing the Cork From the
Opener
1. Hold the wine bottle opener with the
opening facing down.
2. Press the upper portion of the power
button to remove the cork from the
opener. (Fig. 5)

4. Replace the wine bottle opener onto
charging stand until next use.

Recharging the Wine Bottle
Opener
You can store your wine bottle opener
on the charging stand after each use.
If the batteries have been discharged
totally, place on the charging base for
12-16 hours, depending on how weak
the batteries were.
Battery Disposal
The Ni-Cd batteries in your wine bottle
opener are not replaceable. When the
Ni-Cd batteries are no longer
recharging, the wine bottle opener must
be disposed of properly. Call your
nearest recycling center for information
on the recycling and disposal of Ni-Cd

batteries. Please consult your Yellow
Pages or local recycling center for more
information. Never attempt to throw the
unit into a fire or incinerate it.

Care and Maintenance
Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the
wine bottle opener and charging base.
Never immerse the unit or the charging
base in water or any other liquid.
Troubleshooting
Wine bottle opener is not working.
1. Battery needs recharging.
a) Place unit on charging base to
recharge the battery.
2. Charging indicator light not
illuminating.
a) Make sure that charging base is
plugged into electrical outlet.
b) No power in electrical outlet
supplying the charging base.
Check fuse or breaker.
3. Battery is dead.
a) Call your nearest recycling center
for information on how to dispose
of the unit.
4. Wine bottle opener running only
in "Reverse" direction.
a) Check is there is a cork in the
cavity, then run the wine bottle
opener until the cork is ejected. If
there is no cork in the cavity, then
the wine bottle opener needs
repair.
