CLEANING
Clean your kettle regularly
to avoid limescale buildup.
Limescale buildup may
affect the performance of
your appliance.
CAUTION: Risk of burns:
Always allow the kettle to
cool down before clea
ning.
• Unplug the mains
cable (1) from the socket by
pulling on the plug.
• Wipe down the base (2)
and jug (3) with a damp
cloth.
CAUTION: Risk of
damage to the kettle:
– Do not use any scou
ring agents, abrasive
cleansers, sponges with
rough surfaces or hard
brushes.
– The kettle is not suitable
for washing in the dish
washer.
Cleaning the limescale
filter
If the lime-scale filter starts
to clog up, causing the
water to flow out on either
side of the filter during pour
ing, the filter needs to be
cleaned.
Note:
The hardness of the water
in your local area will
determine how often the
lime-scale filter needs to be
replaced.

Remove the limescale
filter (8).
• Immerse the limescale
filter in regular table vin
egar.
• Remove any dirt with a
soft nylon brush.
• Rinse the lime-scale filter
with clear water and place it
back in the kettle.
Descaling the jug
Descale the jug if lime
scale buildup is visible.
Note:
The hardness of the water
in your local area will
determine how often the jug
needs to be descaled.
• Fill the jug (3) with
approx. 1 litre of water and
press the "100°C" tempera
ture button (4.4)
• As soon as the kettle
switches off automatically,
fill it up to the maximum fill
level (marked "max." on the
fill level indicator (5)) with
regular table vinegar.
• Leave this descaling
solution in the jug overnight.
• Empty the jug and then
re-fill and empty it 3 more
times to rinse it thoroughly.
Note:
You may also use com
mercial descaling solutions
to descale the jug. In this
case, follow the manufac
turer's instructions on the
packaging.
STORAGE
Keep the kettle out of the
reach of children.
Always store the cable
in the cord storage com
partment provided on the
underside of the base.
Caution:
Never wrap the cable
around the appliance.
DISPOSAL
At the end of its
service life this
product may not be
disposed of as part
of normal domestic waste. It
must be taken to a dedi
cated collection point for
recycling electrical and
electronic devices. This is
indicated by the symbol on
the product, the operating
instructions or the
packaging.
The materials can be used
again in accordance with
their identification. The
reuse, materialsensitive
recycling or other forms of
recycling of old appliances
enables you to make a vital
contribution to protecting
our environment.
