Intended use
PondoPolar Air, referred to as "unit", may only be used as specified in the following:
• For aeration and supplying oxygen to garden ponds.
• For use in water fountain systems and ponds.
• Operate in accordance with instructions.
During the winter months, the unit can be used to keep the surface of the pond free of ice and prevent the pond from
freezing up. Prerequisite for this is that the temperature does not go below the permissible minimum outside tempera-
ture for the unit.
Installation
How to proceed:

1. Cut off a length of the air hose for connecting the aeration stone.
2. Position the aeration stone.
– Connect the short length of hose to the aeration stone.
– Insert the short length of hose through the opening in the cover of the de-icer and fit it onto the adapter.
– Fit the adapter onto the opening in the cover of the de-icer.
3. Connect the aerator pump and the adapter on the de-icer with the air hose.

How to proceed:

1. Fill the de-icer with bulk material (e.g. gravel).
2. Fit the cover attached to the aeration stone.
3. Place the de-icer into the pond.
4. Install the aerator pump in a horizontal and flood-protected location.
– Ensure that it is installed with a safety distance of at least 2 m from the water.
– Ensure that the pump is installed above the water level to prevent damage to the pump by water flowing back.
– Keep the air hose as short as possible and lay it well protected.
Commissioning/start-up
Switching on: Connect the unit to the mains. The unit switches on immediately.
Switching off: Disconnect the unit from the mains.
Remedy of faults
Malfunction
The unit is not operating
The unit does not deliver any air or the amount
delivered is insufficient.
The unit is unusually loud
Wear parts
• Membrane
• Aeration stone
Cause
No mains voltage
The aeration stone is soiled.
The air filter is soiled.
Air hose kinked or porous
Membrane is defective
Membrane is defective
Remedy
Check the mains voltage.
Clean or replace the aeration stone.
Clean or replace the air filter
Lay the air hose without kinks or replace.
Replace the membrane
Replace the membrane
