NOTE
Depending on how the motor vehicle's electrical system is configured, the
charger will either receive power immediately or only after the ignition is
switched on.
Plug the supply cord into the motor vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
NOTE
The green LED lights constantly after the appliance has been plugged into
an outlet providing the correct voltage.
6 Operation
6.1 Inserting and charging the battery
CAUTION
Make sure that the outer surfaces of the battery are clean and dry
before inserting it in the charger. Observe the operating instructions
for the charger.
CAUTION
Do not use the charger to charge other, unspecified batteries. A risk of
personal injury or fire and irreparable damage to the battery and charger
may otherwise result.
NOTE
Before inserting the battery, check that the contacts are clean and free from
grease.
Push the battery into the interface provided.
Check that the battery and charger interfaces match (keyed fit).
Charging begins automatically after insertion of the battery in the charger.
NOTE
–
The battery will suffer no damage even when left in the charger for long
periods. In this case it is necessary that the charger is operating (green
LED on the charger must be lit). When the battery is fully charged,
the charge status display will go out after some time. To reactivate
the display the battery must first be removed from the charger. For
safety reasons it is recommended that the battery is removed from the
charger after completion of the charging cycle.

Liion batteries are ready for use at any time, even when only partly
charged. Charging progress is indicated by the LEDs.
6.2 Removing the battery
1. Press one or both release buttons.
2. Pull the battery out of the power tool to the rear.
