7.3 Use as a single ladder
Leaning ladders with rungs shall be used
at the correct angle.
Ladders used for access to a higher level
shall be extended at least 1 m above the
landing point and secured, if necessary.
Do not lean the ladder against
unsuitable surfaces.
Ladder shall never be moved from the top.
Do not stand on the top three steps/
rungs of a leaning ladder.
7.4 Use as a extension ladder,
rope-pull ladder
Locking devices shall be checked and be
fully secured before use if not operated
automatically.
When using the rope pull ladder, the loose end of the
rope must be attached on the ladder.

8. Transport / storage
• Before and after using and for storage and
transport, securely latch extension ladder with the
latching hook [D] on the lowest ladder rung.
After using, position the extension section [A-2] of
the rope pull ladder so that it is securely latched in
the lowest position.
• In order to avoid any damage, the ladder should be
securely fastened (e.g., on roof carriers or in the car).
• The ladder should be stored vertically in a dry
environment.
• Any damage must be precluded, and all parts protected
from weather conditions.
• Store the ladder in such a way that it is protected from
children at play and no person can be disabled by it
(possible risk of tripping over it).
