Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of a
BISTRO Toaster from BODUM
instructions carefully before using it.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Please read all the instructions before using this appliance
for the first time. Failure to observe them or the safety
notes may expose you to risk.
• After unpacking, check the appliance for damage. If in
doubt, do not use it and contact the retailer.
• Keep all packaging materials (boxes, plastic bags, etc.) out
of reach of children (danger of suffocation or injury).
• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use it out-
doors. Do not place on or near a gas or electric stove or in
a heated oven.
• The manufacturer declines any liability for damage or
injury arising from incorrect or inappropriate use. Do not
use the appliance for other than intended use.
• Children, or persons with a physical, sensory or mental im-
pairment which compromises the safe use of the appliance,
should use it only with adult/able-bodied help or super-
vision. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
• Never touch the appliance with damp or wet hands.
Never touch the mains cord or plug with wet hands.
Always unplug the appliance by holding the plug, not the
cord. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter or touch hot surfaces. Do not use any electrical
appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after it has
malfunctioned, or has been damaged in any way.
• Use of accessories not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or personal
injury.
• In the event of a fault or malfunction, switch the appliance
off. Do not attempt to repair it yourself. Have all repairs
carried out by personnel authorised by the manufacturer.
Failure to comply with the above can compromise the
safety of the appliance.
• Never attempt to replace the mains cord of the appliance
yourself. Such work requires special tools. To ensure the
safety of the appliance, only personnel authorised by the
manufacturer should carry out repairs to or replacement
of the cord.
• Unplug the appliance from the power point after use and
before cleaning. Never immerse the appliance in water or
any other liquid. To clean it, use only a slightly dampened
cloth. Remember this is an electrical appliance.
