USING THE EGG COOKER
Prick a small hole in the rounded end of the eggs to be cooked. This will prevent them from bursting
open. Use the needle on the back of the measuring cup for this.
Fill the measuring cup with water up to the stripe corresponding to the number of eggs you want to cook.
Pay attention to the hardness of the eggs (see measuring cup). Pour this water onto the hot plate.
N.B. The measurements are based on medium-sized eggs. If you want your eggs harder you can use
more water, and if you want them softer just use less water. Experiment until you have found the ideal
quantity of water to suit your taste.
Place the egg rack on the base. Put the eggs in the egg rack and then put the transparent lid on the
appliance. The lid has an opening to allow the steam produced while boiling to escape. Make sure this
opening is kept uncovered!
Plug in the appliance. When all the water has evaporated, a buzzer will sound. Unplug the appliance (the
buzzer will now stop) and remove the lid. Be careful, as the lid will be hot. Hold the egg rack by the handles
and rinse the eggs in cold water.
N.B. Allow the appliance to cool down for 15 minutes before using it again.
CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING!
The outside of the base can be cleaned with a damp cloth. It should never be immersed in water or any
other liquid.
The separate components can also be wiped with a damp cloth. If necessary, they can be washed in hot
soapy water.
Remove the lime from the hot plate after each use. If the lime deposits start to build up, you can fill the
hot plate with a mixture of 50% water and 50% vinegar. Do not place the egg rack on the base. Plug in
the appliance and let the mixture boil for a few minutes. Repeat several times, then clean the hot plate
thoroughly with water.
