6. DMX OUTPUT: the output signal depends on the status of the wall dimmer inputs (7) and of the DMX
input (3):
 DMX-signal connected to the DMX INPUT (3): the wall dimmer inputs are cutoff and (only) the first
24 DMX channels of signal on the DMX input (3) are transferred to the output.
 NO DMX-signal connected to the DMX INPUT (3): the wall dimmer control signals are
superimposed (merged) and transferred to the output as 24 channels.
7. WALL DIMMER INPUTS: each wall dimmer input has a green "activity LED" and 5 contacts:
Power output to the wall dimmer: 0 and +12V
o
o Data input from the wall dimmer: data+(DMX+) & data- (DMX-) & GND (ground)
Each input accepts 4 DMX-channels (001 to 004). The 4 DMX-channels of the 6 inputs are merged
together to one 24channel DMX-output signal (5):
o Wall Dimmer1  DMX channels 001 to 004
o Wall Dimmer2  DMX channels 005 to 008
Wall Dimmer3  DMX channels 009 to 012
o
Wall Dimmer4  DMX channels 013 to 016
o
Wall Dimmer5  DMX channels 017 to 020
o
o Wall Dimmer6  DMX channels 021 to 024
INSTALLATION
Always switch the unit off and disconnect it from the mains before you make changes
in the wiring.
 Connect 1 to maximum 6 Wall dimmers. The inputs are equipped with press
contacts:
 Strip the wires over 5mm
 Press button while you insert the wire. (follow the correct color codes)
 Release the button and check if the wire is locked.
 Connect the LED projectors to the DMX-output and give them the right DMX addresses.
 Optionally you can connect a
DMX controller to the DMX
input (3) but be aware that,
once a DMX signal is detected,
it has priority over the wall
dimmer inputs!
Use CAT5e UTP cable for the connections
between the LED Wall Dimmers and the inputs.
This is standard Ethernet computer network cable
that you can easily find in any computer shop. It's
important that you follow the color codes for proper
installation:
 BLUE = +12V
 WHITE/BLUE = 0V
 WHITE/BROWN = signal ground
 ORANGE = DMX data-
 ORANGE/WHITE = DMX data+

MAINTENANCE
Clean by wiping with a polished cloth slightly dipped with water. Avoid getting water inside the unit. Do not
use volatile liquids such as benzene or thinner which will damage the unit.
