2-3. Single UPS Installation

Installation and wiring must be performed in accordance with the local electric laws/regulations and the
following instructions executed by qualified personnel.
1)
Make sure the mains wire and breakers in the building are in compliance with the standard of rated
capacity of the UPS to avoid hazard of electric shock or fire.
NOTE: Do not use the wall receptacle as the input power source for the UPS, as its rated current is less
than the UPS's maximum input current. Otherwise the receptacle may be burned and destroyed.
2)
Switch off the mains switch in the building before installation.
3)
Turn off all the connected devices before connecting to the UPS.
4)
Prepare wires based on the following table (use flexible cables):
E4 Evolution II + 10k TT HV
E4 Evolution II + 15k TT HV
E4 Evolution II + 20k TT HV
E4 Evolution II + 30k TT HV
E4 Evolution II + 40k TT HV
E4 Evolution II + 60k TT S HV
E4 Evolution II + 80k TT S HV
E4 Evolution II + 10k TT LV
E4 Evolution II + 15k TT LV
E4 Evolution II + 20k TT LV
E4 Evolution II + 30k TT S LV
E4 Evolution II + 40k TT S LV
NOTE 1: The cable for E4 Evolution II + 10k TT (S) HV should be able to withstand over 20A current.
It is recommended to use AWG 14 or thicker wire for Phase and AWG10 or thicker wire for Neutral for
safety and efficiency.
NOTE 2: The cable for E4 Evolution II + 15k TT (S) HV should be able to withstand over 30A current.
It is recommended to use AWG 12 or thicker wire for Phase and AWG10 or thicker wire for Neutral for
safety and efficiency.
NOTE 3: The cable for E4 Evolution II + 20k TT (S) HV et E4 Evolution II + 10k TT (S) LV should be
able to withstand over 40A current. It is recommended to use AWG10 or thicker wire for Phase and
AWG 6 or thicker wire for Neutral for safety and efficiency.
NOTE 3: The cable for E4 Evolution II + 30k TT (S) HV or E4 Evolution II 15k TT (S) LV should be
able to withstand over 60A current. It is recommended to use AWG 8 or thicker wire for Phase and
AWG 4 or thicker wire for Neutral for safety and efficiency.
NOTE 4: The cable for for E4 Evolution II + 40k TT (S) HV or E4 Evolution II 20k TT (S) LV should be
able to withstand over 80A current. It is recommended to use 16mm²/AWG 6 for safety and efficiency.
