• Ensure the plug has an adequate earth base.
• The exterior parts of the appliance may reach high temperatures when the appliance is on. Use
always the handle and avoid to touch them until some time has passed once switched off the
appliance.
• VERY IMPORTANT: Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
• Do not touch the non-stick plates while in use.
• Do not place the cable on the hot plates.
• Do not leave unattended while in use.
• Always place it on surfaces resistant to heat and keep it away from curtains and inflammables
objects or products.
• Don't allow children play with the appliance. Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
• Before using for the first time, clean the plates with a slightly oiled cloth.
• Never scrape the plates and do not use metallic objects.
• To unplug, pull from the plug and never from the cable.
• This appliance is not intended for using with an external timer or a separate system of remote
control.
• This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.
• If the cable were to deteriorate it must be changed by an Authorised Service Centre.
INSTRUCTIOS OF USE
• Put the slices of bread and others ingredients on a clean and dry surface.
• Plug the appliance to the mains. The pilot light (3) will light on.
• Prepare the sandwiches spreading a little of butter on them to avoid sticking to the hot plates.
• After a few minutes the light pilot (3) will switch off. The sandwich maker has reached the adequate
temperature. Put the sandwiches on the plates.
• Close the sandwich maker, press and close the closing clip (1). Your sandwiches will be ready in a
few minutes.
• During the cooking time the pilot light (3) will be off and on intermittently indicating that the
appliance switches on and off to maintain the temperature of the plates.
• Remember that if some ingredients get stuck to the non-stick plates (4), metal objects must not
be used to remove them.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before you proceed to cleaning, make sure the appliance is unplugged from the mains.
• Do not wait for the plates to cool completely to clean them. It is easier to clean when the plates
are warm. It is enough to use a dampened cloth and if there were some difficult residues it may
be cleaned with a little oil.
• In cleaning do not use scourers, chemical or abrasive products which may deteriorate the plates
or the surfaces of the appliance.
• The exterior parts may be cleaned with a slightly dampened cloth.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
• Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
• Never throw it away to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement of the environment.
