• Take the end on top and bring it under the baby's bottom (Figures 45 and 46). Hold both the baby and the end which is
positioned under his/her bottom. With your free hand, grab the end at the back and bring it to the front (Figure 47).
• When the two ends are placed under the baby's bottom, cross them over (Figure 48). Take, for instance, one end and place
it over one leg and under the other then do the same with the other end starting by the opposite leg.
• When the cross has been made, take the end placed on the baby's outside leg, bring it around the wearer's back and bring
it back over the wearer's opposite hip so that it comes back into contact with the other end. When the two ends come together
over the hip, tie a double knot (Figure 49).
• Pull the shoulder end towards to wrist and fold it so that the edges come together (Figure 50).
Taking baby out of the wrap
• Undo the double knot and undo the cross made under the baby's bottom.
• Bring the wrap behind the back in order to take the child out.
• Hold the child in your right arm and take the wrap up in the middle placing the central tying mark (d) on the wearer's hip,
opposite the child (Figure 51).
• Cover the child with the wrap.
• Swing the child on to the wearer's back with the wearer holding him/her by the hands (Figure 52). Bring the shortest end
over the wearer's shoulder (choose the shoulder the same side as the shortest end) (Figure 53). Always hold the child until
he/she is stabilised.
• Pull the shortest end and get the wearer to hold it between his/her legs (Figure 54). Take the longest end and pass it under
the wearer's arm, the same side as the longest end (Figure 55).
• When the end is under the arm, cross it over the chest, pass it under the other end (in standby) and pass it under the other
arm (Figure 56). Bring it around the wearer's back (Figure 57).
• When the end is over the wearer's back, bring it over the opposite shoulder of the baby (Figure 58), then pass it over the
wearer's shoulder (Figure 59).
• When the ends are both placed over the wearer's shoulder, grab each one in your hands and pass them under the wearer's
arms, bring them across the wearer's back and over the child's legs (Figure 60). When the two ends come together cross
them over and pass them under the child's legs (Figure 61). If, for instance, one end was over the wearer's left shoulder, it
would come under the baby's right leg.
• When the ends have gone under the child's legs, pass them under the arms, on either side (like a rucksack) (Figure 62).
• Take up the two ends under the arms, bring them over the chest and tie a double knot (Figure 63).
Taking baby out of the wrap
• Under the double knot, pass the wrap across the wearer's back, remove the ends from the baby's legs, and undo the cross.
When the wrap has been taken off the baby's legs, bring it to the front. When the wrap is at the front, remove each side from
the wearer's shoulders by going over the back. Bring the child back to the front, being careful to bring his/her legs around
first before his/her head (Figures 64 and 65).
