CHAIN DIALING FROM MEMORY
Use this feature to make calls which require a sequence of numbers such as using a calling card
for a frequently called long distance number. Basically, you dial each part of the sequence from
memory. The following example shows how you can use chain dialing to make a call through a
long distance service:

1. Make sure the phone is ON.
2. Press mem and then press 7.
3. When you hear the access tone, press mem again and then press 8.
4. At the next access tone, press mem and then 9.
TIP: Wait for the access tones between pressing the memory button, or your call might not
go through.
PROGRAMMABLE TIMER
Keep track of baking or cooking times with the built-in, easy-to-read digital display timer. A loud
two-minute alarm sounds when countdown time expires.
Both handset and the Kitchen Companion has the timer functions.
SETTING THE TIMER
At the handset
1. Make sure the handset is OFF (not in TALK mode).
2. Press the timer button.
3. The unit displays SET TIMER 00 MIN 00 SEC , and the first digit (minutes) blinks in the display.
4. Press the desired number 0-9.
5. After the first digit is entered, the second digit blinks.
6. Continue entering digits for the number of seconds you want to set.
At the Kitchen Companion
1. Make sure the speakerphone is OFF (not in TALK mode).
2. Press the timer button.
3. The unit displays SET TIMER 00 MIN 00 SEC , and the first digit (minutes) blinks in the display.
4. Press CID VOL(-) arrow key to change the value of the blinking digit.
