– Pull-push saw operation: Fully insert the universal guide
into the middle guide groove (25).
– Table saw operation: Mount the universal guide in the
right or left guide groove (25).
– If required, mount the additional stop (21) on the univer-
sal guide (2).
– Set the required mitre angle.
– Set the required bevel angle.
– Check whether the stops are outside the cutting area.
– If required, loosen the two wing bolts (27), move the ad-
ditional stop (21) and retighten the two wing bolts (27).
– Note: To prevent the workpiece from slanting or slipping,
the distance between the saw blade (3) and the addi-
tional stop (21) must not be more than 15 mm.
Using the universal guide as a parallel guide (see figure
I2)
– Table saw operation: Mount the universal guide (2) on
the left or right in the guide groove (24) on the saw table
(5) (see "Mounting the universal guide (see figure A)",
page 24).
– Mount the additional stop (21) on the universal guide (2)
(see "Mounting the additional stop (see figure B)",
page 24).
Note: During sawing, workpieces may become trapped
between the universal guide and the saw blade, or be
caught and flung away by the saw chain as it rises.
Ensure that the additional stop (21) is mounted correctly
(see "Mounting the additional stop (see figure B)",
page 24).
– Set a mitre angle of 0° (see "Setting the mitre angle (uni-
versal guide) (see figure H)", page 25).
– Loosen the knurled screw (19) and move the universal
guide (2) by the required distance.
– Retighten the knurled screw (19).
Start-up
Pay attention to the mains voltage. The voltage of the
u
power source must match the voltage specified on the
rating plate of the power tool. Power tools marked
230 V can also be operated at 220 V.
Products that are only sold in AUS and NZ: Use a resid-
u
ual current device (RCD) with a nominal residual current
of 30 mA or less.
Switching On/Off
– Switch on the power tool by pressing the green on button
(13).
– Switch off the power tool by pressing the red off button
(12).
Power Outage
The on/off switch acts as a zero-voltage switch that prevents
the power tool from starting up again following a power out-
age (e.g. if the mains plug is removed during operation).
To restart the power tool following a power outage, press the
green on button (13) again.

Practical Advice
General Sawing Instructions
Before making any cuts, first make sure that the saw
u
blade cannot come into contact with the stops or any
other parts of the tool at any time.
The holder for the protective guard must be aligned
u
with the saw blade in order to prevent the workpiece
from jamming.
Protect the saw blade against impact and shock. Do not sub-
ject the saw blade to lateral pressure.
Do not saw workpieces that have become bent or twisted
out of shape. The workpiece must always have a straight
edge to face against the universal guide.
Always store the push stick on the power tool.
Position of the operator (see figure J)
Do not stand in line with the saw blade in front of the
u
power tool. Always stand to the side of the saw blade.
This protects your body against possible kickback.
– Keep hands, fingers and arms away from the running saw
blade.
Pay attention to the following instructions:
– When using narrow workpieces or sawing a bevel angle,
always use the push stick (9) and the universal guide (2)
provided.
– Pull-push saw operation:
Hold onto the workpiece tightly and press it firmly against
the stop.
– Table saw operation:
Hold the workpiece with both hands and press it securely
against the saw table.

Sawing – Pull-push Saw Operation
When sawing with the slide function, pull the saw blade from
the back to the front through the workpiece while holding it
in place.
This operating mode is suitable for:
– Cuts with and against the grain
– Mitre cuts
– Narrow workpieces
Conversion to a Pull-push Saw
When using the tool as a pull-push saw, the universal guide
must be mounted in the middle guide groove (25) (see
"Mounting the universal guide (see figure A)", page 24).
