Troubleshooting

Possible Causes
No power supply.
The overheat protection has been
activated.
The appliance is defective.
Eggs were not pierced.
Too little or no water.
Wrong hardness setting.
Lid not properly placed onto the ap-
pliance.
The appliance turns off prematurely
due to heavy limescale.

Decalcification

• The decalcification intervals depend on the
hardness of the water and the frequency of
use.
• If the machine switches off before the water
boils, it probably needs to be decalcified.
• Do not use vinegar, but a normal citric acid-
based decalcifier. Follow the manufacturers'
instructions.
Remedy
Check the wall socket using another
appliance.
1. Turn the control knob to the OFF
position. Disconnect the mains
plug.
2. Let the appliance cool down
before using it again.
Contact our customer service or a
specialist.
Pierce the eggs with the egg pricker
on the measuring cup before cook-
ing.
Fill the measuring cup provided with
cold water and pour the water into
the water tank.
Turn the control knob to a higher or
lower setting.
Check the position of the lid.
Clean and descale the device
regularly. If heavily limescaled, the
limescale will be hard to remove.
