SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
In principle operations must only be performed with the machine switched off. Immediately after the completion of operations, all the
safety and protection devices must be refitted and reactivated. Their efficiency must be checked before commencing operations again
in compliance with the current and relevant rules and provisions.
AUTONOMOUS CHANGES AND PRODUCTION OF SPARE PARTS
Changes to the machine are only permitted in agreement with the manufacturer. Original spare parts and accessories authorised by the
manufacturer ensure safety. The use of other parts may invalidate liability for any possible consequences.
UNAUTHORISED MODES OF OPERATION
Safety of operation of the machine is only guaranteed by correct usage that complies with the provisions. The limit values given in the
"Technical specifications" chapter must not be exceeded under any circumstances.
GUIDELINES FOR THE PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTS
Never perform work alone; always use a helmet, safety goggles, protective shoes, and, if necessary, a suitable safety harness.
Before welding or using electrical devices, check that there is no danger of explosion.
Pay attention to cleanliness and health.
Observe the work place safety regulations and ensure a first aid kit is readily available.
In some cases the device and the fluid may be hot with consequent risk of burns.
Specific regulations are applicable for installation in explosion hazard areas !
This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old, persons with a physical, sensory or mental disability, persons with insufficient
experience and knowledge if they are being supervised or have been instructed on the use of the appliance and where they have
understood the resulting dangers involved. Children are not permitted to play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance of the unit
cannot be performed by children without supervision.
Tasks relating to the electrical installations on the pump or on the control panel must only be performed by a qualified
electrician.
Ensure the device is only connected to electrical outlets installed according to the regulations, made safe with a fuse and
high-sensitivity differential circuit breaker (30mA).
Before any work on the device, disconnect the power supply. Intervene after the elapse of 2 minutes from disconnection
to prevent possible electric shock.
Check that the power cable has no signs of mechanical or chemical damage. Replace any damaged or twisted cables
CHAPTER 2
USE
GENERAL INFORMATION
VSD (Variable Speed Drive) is a frequency converter that is able to change the speed of an electric pump thereby keeping pressure
constant with variation of demand.
The control is possible via a pressure and a flow sensor both of which are contained within the inverter.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Upon delivery check that the device has not been damaged during transportation; where this is found to be the case, notify the dealer
immediately.
Control stages:
•
check the outside of the packaging;
•
remove the packaging materials of the product;
•
inspect the product to identify possible signs of damaged parts;
•
contact the dealer if any anomalies are noticed.
Use the packaging to return the product to the dealer in the event of a fault otherwise dispose of all packaging materials in accordance
with local regulations.
