3) Before setting up the solar panel, leave the panel in the sun for one hour.
Then connect the two angle couplings and the end caps according to the
installation diagram:
Large angle:
connect with the gasket ring,
insert the end and turn until it is
attached firmly
Small angle:
connect with the gasket ring,
insert the end and turn until it is
attached firmly
4) Start the pump. If the collector turns cold despite the sun, everything has
been installed properly.
5) Solar panel are often installed on rooftops. Even if you are familiar with
working on rooftops, please have the panels installed by a specialist. To
prevent accidents, please make sure that safety guidelines are followed while
in-stalling the solar panel on rooftops or heightened struc-tures.
6) When installing the solar panel on the ground, please make sure to position
it in a way that children thereby cannot enter the pool.
Connection Possibility (Picture 2)
When connecting the main pipe and the angle, you must use one gasket ring
at a time. Turn the angle coupling until it is attached firmly (see diagram).
Assembly of small angle-coupling: (Picture 3)
Assembly of large angle-coupling: (Picture 4)
1) Install the two end caps in the same way as the angle couplings.
2) Always follow the assembly instructions. The solar panel will not work other-
wise, furthermore damage of the so-lar panel may arise which is not covered
by warranty.
3) Before assembling the solar panel, please read the assembly instructions
carefully.
Place the heater in a location where it will receive the greatest amount of
sunlight, but keep a sufficient minimum distance from pool.
Always ensure that the solar panel faces in a SOUTHERLY direc-tion, and
that solar radiation on the solar panel is unrestricted throughout the day. Make
sure that the solar radiation is not dis-turbed by plants or other obstacles.
Ensure ALL hose connections are tight and the hoses are NOT kinked or bent
at severe angles. If the hoses are leaking, check to make sure ALL of the
parts that have O-Rings have them attached and are screwed on tightly. DO
NOT over tighten hose clamps (15 kg max torque).
Initial Operation
Once the solar panel has been assembled and the hoses are con-nected to
the filter pump and pool return, unblock the flow of water into the pool return
hose and turn on the pump and filter system. Bubbles will shoot out of the
return nozzle into the pool initially while air is pushed out of the solar panel. If
this persists for longer than 2 or 3 minutes, check for and repair any leaks in
the hoses or connec-tions.
NOTE: Be sure to place your pool cover on at night to prevent heat loss.

■ Has it been sunny?
■ Use the maximum possible solar radiation and
increase the running time of the filter pump.
■ Put your pool cover on at night to prevent heat
loss.
■ Additional panels may be necessary.

Maintenance
The solar panel should not be exposed to cold weather. Prior to the first frost,
or at the end of your swim season, the solar panel should be removed from its
connections to the pool and stored in a frost free location.
Winterizing
Drain all the water from the solar panel by disconnecting the tubes. Store in a
location protected from frost. Reconnect the pool return tubes.
Do NOT allow standing water inside the solar panel to freeze. Water expands
as it freezes and can rupture the solar coils on the heater.
Cleaning
Use conventional cleaning products. Do not use solvent-based or abrasive
cleaning agents/tools, i.e. no hard sponges, brushes etc..
Storage
The product must be thoroughly dried after cleaning. After which, it is to be
stored in a dry location protected from frost.
Disposal
Disposing of packaging: The packaging material has been selected in view
of environmental concerns and disposability and is therefore recyclable. The
paper and cardboard can be recycled, as can the plastic coverings.
Disposing of the product: Applicable in the European Union and other
European states with systems in place for collecting and sorting recyclable
materials. Dispose of the product in accordance with any laws and regulations
applicable at your place of residence.
Warranty conditions
The respective country's legal provisions for warranty conditions shall apply
accordingly. For Austria and Germany, these apply for 2 years after the date
of invoice.
