* Use a target plate to increase the measurement range if
the zone aimed at is a poor reflector.
** Assuming favourable conditions.
If conditions are unfavourable, this value may increase by
± 0.15 mm/m (± 0.0018 in/ft) beyond 10 metres.

Cause

Corrective action
Redo the procedure
Use a target plate to
improve the reflection.
The target point is too
reflecting; use a less
reflecting target.
Place the instrument in a
cooler location.
Place the instrument in a
warmer location.
Switch the device off and
back on several times.
If the fault persists,
contact your dealer.
