Cleaning the dust container and cyclone unit
The cyclone unit should be cleaned if the suction power decreases when the rechargeable battery is fully
charged.
1.
Make sure that the appliance is switched off and is not on charge.
2.
Unlock and remove the dust container. Empty the dust container ("Emptying the dust container" on page
28).
3.
Remove the cyclone unit from the dust container and knock it out over a waste bin and remove any dirt
with a soft brush as necessary.
4.
Remove the foam ring from inside the cyclone unit.
5.
Clean the foam ring under running water and then leave it to dry.
6.
Rinse out the dust container with clear water and then let it dry.
7.
Next, put the foam ring and cyclone unit together and insert in the dust container.
8.
Install and secure the dust container.
Cleaning the exhaust filter
The exhaust filter cannot be washed. The exhaust filter may only be cleaned when it is dry. To clean it, knock it
out and brush it carefully.
1.
Unlock and remove the exhaust filter.
2.
First knock out the exhaust filter and then brush it carefully with a soft brush (e.g. with the furniture brush
provided).
3.
Reinsert the exhaust filter in the device and press on it until it audibly locks in place.
If the filter is damaged or deformed, replace the filter with a new one ("7 Spare parts/accessories" on page 30).
Cleaning the brush roller
Soiling may prevent the brush roller from rotating freely. Clean the brush roller regularly. For additional informa-
tion, see illustrated Quick Start Guide Cleaning.

Remove the brush.
6.
Remove any hairs and dirt from the brush; if necessary, use tweezers or scissors and do so carefully.
7.
Re-insert the brush and secure it with the stop catch.
