Thermostat with display for automatic or manual three-speed fan-coil
control - 2 modules.
This device is suited to control room temperature (heating and air-conditioning) by governing
a 3-speed fan-coil.
CHARACTERISTICS.
• Rated supply voltage: BUS 29 V
• Input: 20 mA
• Terminals: TP BUS
• Displayed temperature: -5 °C - +40 °C
• Adjustment range:
- on heating: +5 °C - +30 °C
- on air conditioning: +10 °C - +35 °C
• Temperature differential: adjustable between 0.1 °C and 1.0 °C; default: 0.2 °C. The adjust-
ment is made by the control unit.
• ErP classification (Reg. EU 811/2013): class I, contribution 1%
• Consist with:
- By-me flush and surface mounting control units, rel.2.0 and next.
- By-me 2-module control units, rel. 2.0 and next.
CONFIGURATION.
FOR THE OPERATIONS OF INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION, SEE THE By-me
SYSTEM INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL ATTACHED TO THE CONTROL UNIT.
The thermostat must be configured with the control unit, in a group containing the relay dedicated to
climate control (circulation pumps, burners, solenoid valves) or fan-coils.
• Functional blocks: 1 functional block.
• Selecting the functional block (configuration), when the control unit requires pressing the
device button: press button A on the thermostat (see "Front View" figure), the display will
show "CnF" until configuration is completed.
PARAMETERS.
The thermostat operating modes can be managed with the device buttons or the "climate"
menu of the control unit, except for the following parameters that can only be managed from
the control unit menu:
• normal/protected operation;
• heating/air-conditioning;
• temperature differential;
• setpoint adjustment interval, if in protected mode.
USING THE THERMOSTAT.
Briefly press button D to enter the fan-coil speed setting mode; this setting is made with
buttons B, C and D and at the end of time-out you exit the menu. By pressing button D for
approximately 3 s, you access the thermostat menu and with buttons B and C you view the
following operating modes cyclically:
• OFF (written OFF): used to switch off the system.
• OFF with time (written OFF, icon OFF, icon
as desired.
• forced off: used to force switching off the system with a message sent from the control unit.
This mode is possible if a contact interface (Eikon 20515; Arké 19515; Idea 16955; Plana 14515)
belonging to the same thermostat group signals an open contact (open window, for example).
In this mode any setpoint values sent from the control unit in automatic operation are ignored.
• antifreeze (written Min, icon ) : used to set a minimum temperature level to avoid damage
to pipework or prevent the temperature from falling below a safety level.
• nighttime reduction (written rED, icon
for nighttime reduction.
• timed nighttime reduction (written rED, icon
set-point.
• automatic (written Aut, icon ) : the temperature will be adjusted automatically according
to the setpoint received from the control unit.
• manual (written MAn): used to set switching the system on and off manually.
• timed manual (written MAn, icon ): used for manual operation for as long as desired.

• Manual operation in protected mode permits changing the temperature setting (max ± 5 °C);
the adjustment is made with the control unit menu.
• Antifreeze operation is only possible in heating mode.

• Key A: Button for deleting the operation; it is also the configu-
ration button.
• Key B: Decrease displayed value (temperature or time).
• Key C: Increase displayed value (temperature or time).
• Key D: Button to vary the speeds of the fan-coil; if it is kept
pressed for 3 s you access the menus.

• All the menus are timed; if button D is not pressed to confirm the new selection and the time-
out elapses, the device returns to the preceding setting.
SELECTING THE OPERATING MODE.
• By pressing button D, you select the desired mode of operation.
• On selecting "Manual", "Nighttime Reduction" and "Anti-freeze", the display flashes and the
value of the set point for the temperature is set with buttons B and C then pressing D to confirm.
• On selecting "Timed Manual", "Timed Nighttime Reduction" and "Timed Off", the display
flahses and the set-point is set with buttons B and C then pressing D to confirm;
the display then continues to blink and, again using buttons B and C, set the time, lastly
pressing D to confirm. At the end of the set time, the thermostat will return to its prior active
operating mode.
• In "Automatic" mode, pressing button B or button C takes you into "Override" mode. the
display flashes and the value of the set point for the temperature is set with buttons B and
C then pressing D to confirm; the display then continues to blink and, again using buttons
B and C, set the time (duration), lastly pressing D to confirm. At the end of the set time, the
thermostat will return to the "Automatic" operating mode.
• By pressing button A for approximately 3 s, it is possible with buttons B and C to select the
scale (°C or °F) for viewing the temperature.

attached to the control panel.
