Load control module, installation on DIN rail (60715 TH35), occupies 4
modules of 17.5 mm.
The device prevents the current limiting switch from tripping due to overload. It is
able to control up to 8 loads or groups of loads by controlling the same number
of relay actuators. It needs a TA current transformer to measure the current. The 8
groups of controlled loads must be given a priority that determines the sequence
of disconnection by the current sensor; this is performed via the control unit, using
the dedicated menu for load management. The module is equipped with 8 red
LEDs, one for load that can be controlled; the LEDs light up when the associated
load is interrupted.

CONNECTIONS.
The ideal position for TA is downstream from the electricity hour meter and main
switch; in this way, the power measured by the current sensor is the same one
measured by the power meter and it is possible to prevent meter disconnection.
Alternatively, TA can be fitted upstream from the power cable feeding the loads
to control; in this case, however, the power measured by the current sensor is
less than that measured by the power meter (no other input is considered) and it
is not possible to be sure of preventing power meter disconnection. This second
application can be used as a more general control of the power drawn by the loads
under control.
Just one of the two electric power conductors must be made to pass through TA.
Note: The distance between TA and 01855 charge control module should not
exceed 1,5 m.

CONFIGURATION.

CONTROL UNIT.
The load control current sensor must be configured with the control unit using the
dedicated menu for load control.
The load control current sensor must belong to all the groups of the load control
relays.
• Functional blocks: 1 functional block.
• Selecting the functional block (configuration), when the control unit, during group
creation, requires pressing the device button:
- press the configuration button, the red LED will light up;
- with the red LED on, the control unit will configure the functional block; at the end
of this operation the red LED will go out.

PARAMETERS.
• Actions on the groups to control (for each group it is possible to choose one of
the 4 following controls, irrespective of the choices made for the other groups):
- Auto OFF-ON: switching the load on and off automatically according to the input
power.
- Auto OFF Man ON: switching the load off if required by conditions, switching the

load on manually (with configured button in the same group).
- Always ON: load always on, irrespective of the input conditions.
- Always OFF: load always off, irrespective of the input conditions.

• Power to control:

- first threshold to control;
- second threshold to control;
- time of validity for second threshold.
The second and third parameter must be set only if you have the new ENEL elec-
tronic meter and you want advanced consumption control. If this is not the case, set
threshold 2 and the threshold 2 time to 0.
The preset operating parameters are for the new ENEL meter and must be changed if
you have another meter or your new ENEL meter has any supply other than 3 kW.
INSTALLATION RULES.
Installation should be carried out observing current installation regulations for electri-
cal systems in the country where the products are installed. The feeding circuit of
the relay output must be protected against overloads by adevice, fuse or automatic
circuit breaker, with rated current not higher than 6 A.
