If any leakage is detected, check that the inhalation and exhalation valve flaps is undamaged, check
that the connection with o-ring(s) and attahment with gasket is undamaged and fits properly, and check
that the hose not is twisted. Repeat the user seal check until there is no leakage.
C. Doffing
Do not take off the equipment until clear of the hazardous area.
1)
Rotate the belt around your waist so that you reach the hose connection on the SR 905.
2)
Release the breathing hose from the SR 905. Fig. 23.
3)
Remove the half mask respirator together with the breathing hose. See SR 900 User's manual.
4)
Remove the belt with the SR 905.
5)
Clean and store the combination as required.
VI MAINTENANCE, CLEANING AND STORAGE
A dirty product causes reduced protection. A written program for cleaning
should be established and followed. This program should include all federal and local

A. Cleaning
1)
Remove the filter attachment and the filter.
2)
Clean the SR 905 and all parts with Sundström cleaning tissues SR 5226.
If the SR 905 is heavily soiled, use a warm (up to +104 °F (+40 °C)), mild soap solution and a soft
brush. Never use solvents for cleaning.
3)
Rinse thoroughly.
4)
Check the condition of all parts. Replace any damaged or defective item.
Critical areas are the valve flaps and the connections/attachments which must have clean and
undamaged contact surfaces.
5)
Leave the equipment to dry, and then assemble it.
