MAINTENANCE

Good maintenance will extend the life of the machine. Prolonged or constant use may require more intensive
maintenance for the machine to continue to function properly.
ATTENTION: Make sure the machine is completely turned off before performing any maintenance
or repairs. This will eliminate any potential risks.
The machine is set at the factory. Do not make unnecessary adjustments, adjustment only when
necessary due to normal wear.
LUBRICATION
ATTENTION: To help prevent corrosion, it is recommended to periodically apply a little oil to the
column, table and base of the machine.
Periodically lubricate the spindle.
1.
Open the belt cover
2.
Lower the shaft completely and hold it in this position.
3.
Place a few drops of clean motor oil or machine oil through the spindle pulley, then move the spindle up and
down several times to distribute the lubricant.
DRILL CHUCK EXTRACTION
1.
Fully open the chuck jaws by turning the outside of the chuck to the left (counterclockwise) when viewed
from above.
2.
Place a hand on the chuck to catch it, then carefully tap the side of the chuck with a mallet to release the
chuck clamp cones.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE LATERAL SPACE OF THE SPINDLE
With the spindle in the extended position, grasp the end, push it in and pull it out to check for excessive lateral play.
If the spindle can move more than 1 to 2 mm, adjust it as follows:
1.
Loosen locknut (L).
2.
Turn the adjusting screw (I) clockwise to remove the play. Check that the up/down movement of the spindle
is not affected (jamming or unnecessary force).
3.
Tighten the locking nut.
