Travelling iron Use instructions
INSTRUCTION FOR USE:
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
• • • MAX High temperature steam ironing (cotton, linen)
• • Medium temperature ironing (wool, silk)
• Low temperature ironing (synthetic fibres)
Before starting to iron, run the iron over a small hidden area of your garment to make
sure the temperature selected is suitable to the type of fabric.
FILLING THE TANK (only in case of steam ironing)
• Always make sure the plug is disconnected from the power outlet when filling the tank.
• Lift the handle (as shown in figure)
• Place the iron at an angle.
• Open the lid and fill the tank without going over the MAX level indicated.
Never place perfumed substances in the tank.
• Close the lid.
USE
Start-up:
1. Place the iron in a vertical position, completely unwind the power cord and connect the
plug to the power outlet.
2. With the temperature control dial select the temperature most suitable to the type of fabric to iron.
3. The thermostat light will turn on. It will then turn off when the selected temperature is reached. The iron is now
ready to use.
The iron can be used for dry or steam ironing.
To iron with steam proceed as follows:
1. Fill the tank as indicated in the appropriate paragraph.
2. Place the iron in a vertical position, completely unwind the power cord and connect the plug to the power
outlet.
3. Use the tempeature control dial to select the temperature ••• MAX.
4. The thermostat light will turn on. It will then turn off when the selected temperature is reached. The iron is now
ready to use.
5. During ironing press the steam button in pulses to obtain a jet of steam.
Note:
• Do not press the button too many times in succession to prevent non-vaporised
drops of water from leaking.
• Drops of water may be discharged together with the steam on first use. This is
normal. Before ironing your linen, carry out tests on old pieces of fabric.
• Mineral particles may be discharged at each use of the steam function, therefore do
not discharge the first jets of steam directly onto the items to iron.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out any cleaning operation, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and wait for the iron to
completely cool down.
• Clean the body of the iron with a soft dry cloth.
• Regularly clean the soleplate using a normal non-abrasive sponge to keep the surface of the soleplate from
damaging.
• Do not use chemical or abrasive substances.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Empty the tank after each use.
• Let the iron cool down completely before store it.
• Before storing the iron, press the button to lower the handle.
