off the machine after finishing operation with the
tool. Lay down the machine on its side with the
cutting wheels aside from the operator. Do not
force the wheels to stop. Never press the lock
button 16 while the spindle is still rotating!
For better guidance when chasing horizontal/
diagonal grooves or chasing walls first trace the
line along which the groove shall be chased.
Use the cutting marker 15 to guide the machine
along the traced line (fig.3).The cutting marker
is at the level of the inner front surface of the
driving diamond wheel. Bear this in mind when
drawing the guiding line L.
DuST ExTRACTION
The wall chaser must be operated only with
dust extraction. Wear a dust mask. The vacuum
cleaner should be appropriate for stone dust
suction. Mount the dust extraction pipe directly
onto the dust extraction adapter 4 on the wheel
guard and connect to the vacuum cleaner.
STATICS REquIREMENTS
WARNING: The places to be proc-
essed shall be checked in advance for hidden
electric wires, gas and water pipes. Groove
chasing in walls is liable to the regulations in
DIN 1053, part 1 or standards, specific for the
country. These requirements must be strictly
observed. Before starting to operate the wall
chaser, consult the person in charge of stat-
ics, the architect or the responsible expert.
The permitted groove depth and width de-
pend on groove length, the wall thickness and
structure.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Feed the tool smoothly and avoid overloading.
Upon overloading the built-in electronic pro tec-
tion will actuate and the speed of the wheels
will be reduced considerably. To restore the
normal speed, withdraw the tool from the
operated material. Watch out for wear of wheels
and replace them if the efficiency drops down
significantly. To chase grooves deeper than 45-50
mm, it is recommen dable to perform two passes,
half the depth each.

out, the machine switches itself off. In this case
both brushes must be replaced simultaneously
with genuine brushes at REDSTONE service

GENERAL INSPECTION
Regularly inspect all fasteners and ensure they
are properly tightened. Should any of the screws
be loose, retighten it immediately to avoid haz-

If the replacement of the supply cord is neces-
sary, this has to be done by the manufacturer or
his agent in order to avoid a safety hazard.

For safe operation always keep the machine and
its ventilation slots clean.
Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign
matter has entered the ventilation slots and the
grills around the switches. Use a soft brush and/
or air jet to remove any accumulated dust. Wear
safety glasses to protect your eyes whilst clean-
ing.
