Installation instructions:

Electrical system for towing hitch

11. Insert the supplied miniature relay (Fig. 1/5) into the relay socket. Secure the relay socket on

the cable harness using cable ties.

12. Lay the cable end with the two connectors (marking on the right) above the rear doors to the

right-hand tail light (Fig. 1/12).

13. Disconnect the plug-in connector of the right-hand tail light (Fig. 1/12) and connect it to the

matching counterparts on the cable harness. Make sure that the plugs lock firmly into place.

Special information concerning vehicles with parking distance control (PDC)

On vehicles with PDC it is possible to deactivate the PDC for trailer operation.

14. Lay the brown/white cable (Fig. 1/11) near the right-hand tail light to the PDC control unit and

connect it to the 8-pin plug on pin 6.

15. Only for 13-pin trailer socket.

Using the 3-pin connector for the constant plus extension kit (Fig. 1/4), the following functions

can be retrofitted:

"Constant plus" Westfalia part number 300 027 300 113 and

"Charging lead" Westfalia part number 300 028 300 113

Connecting the power supply

Power is picked up directly from the battery.

16. Lay the red/blue cable along the roof spar to the B-pillar (door post) and from there down to

the floor. Lay the cable under the floor covering centrally to the battery box (Fig. 1/3).

17. Let the quick-connect receptacle of the red/blue cable of the cable harness and the one of the

supplied single red cable lock into place in the fuse holder (Fig. 1/1 and Fig. 2) and close the

latch.

18. Connect the separate red cable to the positive battery terminal (Fig. 1/2).

19. Insert fuse (Fig. 2).

Note

Ensure sufficient strain relief and correct installation of the fuse holder (Fig. 1/1) and of the

plug-in connectors.
