Before installing the appliance, carefully read these instructions and keep them safe for
future reference. Our COMET-S hair dryers have been designed in compliance with safety
standards IEC 60335-1 and IEC 60335-2-23, and manufactured under strict production and
quality control standards. All components have been verifi ed and all appliances have been
thoroughly checked after assembly.
We recommend you check the correct condition and operation of the appliance as soon as you
unpack it. Items that are defective on arrival will be covered by the S&P guarantee.
1. SAFETY WARNINGS
• Check that the power supply voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating plate.
• Any interventions or alterations that change the normal operating characteristics of the
appliance represent a potential source of risk.
• This appliance is an electrical appliance to be used for drying hair. It should not be used for
other purposes, such as drying clothes, etc.
• As additional protection, it is advisable to install a residual current device (RCD) that has
an assigned operating fault current that does not exceed 30mA, in the electrical circuit that
supplies the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
• If the appliance is installed with a direct connection to the electricity network, it must be
equipped with a power disconnection switch with a contact separation of at least 3mm on
all poles.
This appliance should not be used in the immediate vicinity of bathtubs, showers, wash

basins or any other vessels containing water.
WARNING: Do not use the device near water.
• When the hair dryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use as the proximity of the water
presents a risk even when the dryer is disconnected.
• The support, which is supplied separately as an accessory, must be fi xed so that the hair
dryer is out of reach of a person who is bathing or showering.
• If the power supply cable is damaged, it should be replaced by the S&P after-sales service
or by qualifi ed personnel to avoid the risk of electrocution.
• Do not wrap the power supply cable around the hair dryer after use.
• Do not place the appliance close to a heat source or in direct sunlight.
• Do not handle or use with wet hands.
• Do not obstruct the entry or exit of air, this would cause overheating of the device.
• Some of the parts of the hair dryer can be hot long after use and can burn when touched.
• This appliance is not intended to be used by people (including children) who suffer from
limited physical, mental or sensory abilities, or who lack knowledge or experience, unless
under the supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Ensure that water is never splashed on the hair dryer, this would create a potential risk of
electric shock.
