standard. Please read this instruction booklet carefully before installing or starting up the product. It contains important information about safety measures to be
followed while installing, using and carrying out maintenance work on the equipment. Once the product has been installed, please hand in this booklet to the
end user. Check that the fan is in perfect conditions while unpacking. Any fault or damage caused in origin is covered by the S&P guarantee. Please make sure
that the fan is really the product you have ordered and that the details on the instructions plate fulfil your requirements.
Transport and manipulation
- The packaging used for this product has been designed to support normal transportation conditions. It must always be transported in its original packaging as
not doing so could damage it.
- The product should be stored in a dry place in its original packaging, protected from dust and dirt until it is installed in its final location. Do not accept delivery if
the fan is not in its original packaging or shows clear signs of having been manipulated in any way.
- Do not place heavy weights on the packed product and avoid knocking or dropping it.
- When manipulating heavy products, adequate elevating machinery should be used to avoid harming people or damaging the product itself.
- Never lift a product by pulling it by the wires or terminal casing. Likewise, no pressure should be applied on the propeller, turbine or safety grid while
manipulating the product.
Important information for the safety of installers and users
- Installation must be carried out by qualified person only.
- Make sure that the installation complies with each country's current mechanical and electrical norms.
- Once ready to use, the fan must fulfil the following standards:
Standard for Low Pressure Instalments 2006/95/CE
Machinery Standard 2006/42/CE
Standard for Electromagnetic Compatibility 2004/108/CE.
- Ventilators installed in high risk areas (1) that are accessible to users must be adequately protected in order to comply with the Standards.
- Any area in or around a machine, where the safety of people may be at risk.
- Ventilators, or apparatus that include them, have been designed to move the air in the area stipulated on their characteristics plate.
- This apparatus must not be used in explosive or corrosive atmospheres.
- If a machine is needed for working in the previously stated conditions, consult the S&P Technical Service.
- If the fan is going to be used in atmospheres with over 95% relative humidity, consult the S&P Technical Service first.
- If a ventilator is going to be installed to extract air from premises where a boiler or other combustion apparatus are installed, make sure that the building has
sufficient air intakes to assure adequate combustion.
This product complies with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU based on the following harmonized standards EN 60034-1:2010 // EN
60204-1:2006 // EN ISO 12100:2010 // EN ISO 13857:2008 //
It also complies with the Commission Regulation (EU) No 327/2011 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC with regard to ecodesign requirements for fans driven
by motors with an electric input power between 125 W and 500 kW (including those fans for replacement of identical fans integrated in products which were
placed on the market before 1 January 2013)
The product design fulfills the requirements of the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU with regard to emission and immunity to electromagnetic levels.
EC Declaration of Incorporation: (Directive 2006/42/EC, Annex II 1-B)
Should the product be used as part of a machine, then it must not be put into service until the machine in which it is incorporated has been declared in
conformity with the provisions of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Compliance with EN ISO 13857 refers to safety devices when supplied, and installed, with the product. The responsibility for compliance with EN ISO 13857 is
the installer of the system where the product is applied.
Installation
Optimum distances from the wheel to other components;
Distance at the inlet side
Distance at the outlet side
LA ≥ 0,5 x DSa*
LD ≥ 1 x DSa
In box section with unequal side lengths, a reference surface F (equivalent parameter) consisting of side-width A and side-high B can be calculated as an
iteration when there is a minimum clearance of 0,3 x DSa between the impeller and the wall. F = √AxB.
In the case of disturbance flow(for example curved pipe at the inlet, flaps etc) LA ≥ 1 x DSa
