INSTALLING THE BLUMODULAR FILTER
EN
Position the BLUMODULAR filter inside the tank
as desired (on the side or the rear). you can use
the special supports with the suction cups. One
or two may be inserted at the top or bottom
FR
of the filter (Fig. H). If you have a CAyMAN fish
tank, you can use the special guides on the
upper edge of the tank (Fig. I).
D
If you like, add the accessories:
• diffuser: for directing the flow of water
(Fig. D);
• Venturi regulator: for creating bubbles
NL
that exit the filter's outlet. After attaching
the Venturi system connector to the filter's
outlet (Fig. E), connect the silicone tube and
regulator to the air intake;
ES
• flow regulator: rotate the regulator
clockwise to increase the flow or counter-
clockwise to decrease it (Fig. G);
• spray-bar: with relative end cap (Fig. O).
SK
BLUMODULAR is a versatile filter that can be
used for various purposes in any fish tank. It
could be used to clean the water as the main
filter in small fish tanks or medium-sized fish
CS
tanks that contain few fish, or as a secondary
filter (better if combined with a bio filter like
Ferplast's line of BLUWAVE bio filters), with
the following filtering materials: BLUCARBON
HU
activated carbon, BLUZEOLITE zeolite, BLUFIBRE
synthetic fiber, resins and other adsorbent
or chemical materials. BLUMODULAR helps
keep water clear even in overpopulated fish
SV
tanks. Modules (that may be combined and
added at will) let various materials be used
simultaneously, guaranteeing high power
suction and rapid flow. The provided materials
DA
may be replaced as desired. In any case, a
large mesh sponge should be used in the first
module (at the bottom) to trap large particles.
The others may be filled as desired. (Be careful
when using especially dense materials like fine
RU
Perlon; if it is too dense, the flow rate could be
significantly reduced and/or the filter could
clog easily. These materials should be placed in
the last module at the top under the pump).

MAINTAINING BLUMODULAR 01 - 02 - 03
FILTERS
The primary recommended maintenance
operations are shown below:
1 (Fig. L).
Rinse all of the mechanical filtration sponges at
least every -3 weeks.
2
Replace the mechanical filtration sponges at
least every 6 months. Use only original Ferplast
spare parts.
3
The adsorbent sponge wears out in -3 weeks.
We therefore recommend replacing it, if
necessary, with original spare parts available at
specialized stores or leaving it in the filter with
mechanical filtration, taking care to rinse it every
-3 weeks. In any case, it must be changed at
least every 6 months.
4
When treating fish with special medications,
the adsorbent sponge must be removed from
the filter (to avoid diminishing their beneficial
effects). After this period, a new sponge should
be introduced into the filter.
5
Always keep the filter's intake grilles clean.
6 (Fig. M).
Check the BLUMODULAR filter's pump at
least every 6 months. Clean as follows, when
necessary:
- Disconnect power to the pump.
- Remove the BLUMODULAR filter from the
tank.
- Remove the cover by pressing the two side
tabs and extract the rotor. If necessary,
replace it with an original Ferplast spare part.
- Eliminate any lime deposits and impurities
using a soft toothbrush (do not use detergents
or chemical substances).
- Reassemble the unit, following these
instructions in reverse.
