• Do not plug in before making sure the voltage on the rating plate and
that your household are the same.
• Do not connect the appliance before making sure the plug has an
adequate earth base.
• Do not leave unattended when in use.
• Use it always with the tray placed.
• VERY IMPORTANT: Never immerse in water or other liquids, the
heating element, the handle or the cable cord.
• Always place the appliance on heat-resistant surfaces.
• Keep away from curtains, liquids and other flammable materials.
• Make sure the cable never comes in contact with hot parts.
• Don't allow children play with the appliance. Keep the appliance out
of the reach of children.
• The temperature of the metallic surfaces could be high when the
appliance is working.
• Never move the barbecue when in use.
• The appliance must not be used in the open air.
• Do not use charcoal or similar combustible in this appliance.
• To unplug, pull from the plug, never from the cable.
• This appliance is not intended for using with an external timer or a
separate system of remote control.
• This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.
• If the cable were to deteriorate it must be changed by your local
authorised service centre.
INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
• Insert the heating element (2) between the grille and the two rods
placed under the heating element by sliding it till the end.
• ATTENTION: Doing this operation, the security rod (4) must be
fitted in the slot placed in the bottom side of the handle (5). If
not the heating element doesn't work.
• Pour maximum 250 ml. of water into the tray (3) before you connect
the appliance, and verify it does not run out while in use. Doing that
you will avoid the smoke produced when falling the grease over the
tray.
• Plug in the appliance to the mains. The indicator (6) will light on. Wait
a few seconds for the electrical element to heat. Then put the food on
the grille (1).
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before you proceed to cleaning make sure the appliance is cold and
that it is not connected to the mains.
• Remember you must not immerse the heating element, the handle and
the cable cord in water.
• Remove the heating element.
• Use a dampened cloth to clean the heating element.
• Do not use to clean abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers,
and such may deteriorate the surfaces.
• The grille and the tray can be cleaned with soap and water.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
• Dispose the appliance according to the local garbage regulations.
• Never throw it away to the rubbish. So you will help to the improvement
of the environment.
