INSTALLING THE CAR SEAT
4. Attach the car seat onto the base
IMPORTANT:
The base is guaranteed to function even without batteries, but it is recommended
that you do insert batteries (see page 39) to enable the sound and light control to
be used for proper installation of the car seat.
If the sound device is active and the car seat is placed on the base, when you
press the handle on the attachment device into the open position, a continuous
"beep" and a red flashing LED light will indicate that the seat is not properly
clipped onto the base. When pressing and releasing the handle to activate the
locking device, a "beep" sound and a green LED light that flashes for a few
seconds, will indicate that the attachment device is properly activated and that
the car seat is correctly installed on the base.
Rear-facing position for children from birth with a height of 40 to 83 cm

Press down the handle fully of the car
seat's attachment/release device, in
the front part of the base: a "click"
will indicate that the attachment

mechanism has opened correctly,
and the red indicator light will be
visible on the handle.
Make sure that the upper surface of
the base is free from foreign bodies.
Place the car seat onto the base in a
rear-facing position.
Important: the metal brackets on the bottom of the car seat must engage with
their respective attachment points, at the front and back, on the base (ref. 7 page
26).
NEVER use the central attachment points (ref. 6 page 26) on the base to attach
the car seat brackets. Make sure that both the metal car seat brackets are secured
to the attachment points.
Press and release the handle of the attachment device, a double "click" will
indicate that the car seat has been locked onto the base correctly.
