Damage prevention and safety instructions
A
Warning! Observe limitations of use.
B
The name plate voltage must be the same as the
mains voltage.
C
Connect the pump to the mains via an omnipolar
switch with at least a 3mm opening between contacts.
D
Install a high-sensitivity differential switch (0.03A)
as extra protection against lethal electric shocks.
E
Connect the pump to the ground.
F
Use pump only within performance limits indicated
on the name plate.
G
Remember to prime pump.
H
Check for motor self-ventilation.

1. GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
DANGER: Before proceeding to install the
product, read these instructions carefully.
WARNING: Guard with care this manual for
consultations after the first installation
Pressure sets are used with water supply systems to
increase and maintain pressure. These systems are
installed primarily in residential buildings, hospitals,
hotels and industrial buildings.
CPE sets are conventional sets with constant speed
pumps, controlled by ECD controller. CKE pressure
sets, with regulated speed pumps, are designed to
deliver water at a constant pressure, controlled by a
ESD controller.
Using a pressure transducer, the ESD/ECD receives
a signal that is proportional to the installation's
pressure. Depending on the scheduled start-up or
shutdown pressure, the set's pumps start up and
shut down in a staggered and alternating fashion.
CKE
There are 2 types of CKE sets: with auxiliary pumps
"on-off" and with variable speed pumps.
In booster sets with variable speed pumps, all the
electric pump motors are equipped with ESD
inverter, and each inverter communicates with the
others. The start-up of each motor and the rotating
speed is determined by the water consumption at
any given time. The operation mode is alternated, for
each activation of the booster set, the order of start
pumps is random. In booster sets with auxiliary 'on-
off' pumps, the main pump is equipped with a ESD
inverter and the auxiliary pumps are equipped with
ELV controler for starting and stopping the pumps.
The entire set is controlled by the ESD. The
operation mode is alternated, for each activation of
the booster set, the order of start pumps is random.
In both types, the pre-selected pressure is constant.
The same set can be powered at 50Hz or 60Hz.
