Operation
1. Test button
Flash will be fired by pressing this button. It is for the purpose of testing before shooting.
2. Power switch
At middle position – Power off
Upwards at "=" position - Both flash and modeling lamp are turned on..
Downwards at "-" position - Only flash is turned on. Modeling lamp will not work.
3. Fuse holder
Check the fuse first when this studio flash fails to work. Screw it anti-clockwise and press to take it
out.
4. Power and ready indicator
It turns green when the power source is connected. After a while, it turns orange indicating this
studio flash is fully charged and ready to work.
5. Light sensor
It is to receive triggering light when working with "Slave" method. Set this studio flash at a proper
position to ensure the light sensor can receive direct or reflecting light signals.
6. Sound switch/Triggering method selector
Set it at the middle position. The light sensor stops working to avoid misfiring. Sound switch is
turned off. Sound will not be heard when it is fully charged.
7. Flash and modeling lamp output controller
Adjust it to achieve desired flash output. When adjusting the output from higher to lower (anti-
clockwise),the first flash remains at a higher output. Fire it one time before shooting. Output of both
flash and modeling lamp will be adjusted simultaneously.
8. Sync cord jack
When working with a sync cord triggering method, insert one end of the sync cord into it, the other
end into the jack in the camera. Press the shutter button to trigger this studio flash.
Note:
1. Keep this studio flash, especially the flash tube clean to prolong its service life. Remove the power
plug before cleaning.
2. Remove the power plug before changing the bulb or fuse. Make sure to use the same type of bulb
or fuse.
3. Protect the light sensor from being illuminated by strong light during operation.
4. Turn the power switch off after use.
