DEFAULT SETTINGS
1. Output channel E05;
2. Audio carrier deviation ±50 kHz (with audio signal level on both inputs at 775 mV a 1 KHz);
3. B/G standard, audio carrier 5.5 MHz and5.742 MHz (Preset b5);
4. Test pattern generator OFF (Preset no);
5. Frequency shift (Preset 0) ;
6. Carrier ratio V/A1-16 dB (Preset 16);
7. Output signal enabled (Preset on);
8. Audio level 0 (Preset 0);
9. Sound mode STEREO (Preset A5).
OPERATING
A. NORMAL:
NORMAL mode of operating sets by default after plug in.
B. SETTING
It's possible to set up the SETTING mode of operating by pressing "-" and "+" buttons simultaneously. To switch off and
return to NORMAL mode, press "-" and "+" buttons simultaneously once more.
Both the modes of operating, NORMAL and SETTING, allow to select the output channel by pressing buttons "-" or "+" near
the display. To select the output channel refer to tables form 1 to 10, depending on the modulation and canalization used in
the country where the product will be installed.
To change the parameters in SETTING mode of operating there are 7 menu:
1. TV standard settings:
a) after switching SETTING mode, indicator displays the current TV standard (refer to tables form 1 to 10, depending on the
modulation and canalization used in the country where the product will be installed);
b) to set the necessary TV standard, press button "+";
c) after having selected the TV standard desired, the output channel of the modulator MOD90S is the first channel of selected
TV standard (refer to tables form 1 to 10, depending on the modulation and canalization used in the country where the
product will be installed);
d) other settings remains unchanged.
2. Test pattern generator switch on:
a) press "-" button;
b) it's possible to switch between OFF and ON by pressing button "+", "no" test pattern generator OFF, "t5" test pattern
generator ON;
3. Fine tuning of video carrier frequency:
a) press button "-";
b) change the video carrier frequency by pressing button "+".
Then the displays shows numbers form 0 to 9 and from -9 to -1. Each of these numbers correspond to a frequency shift (refer
to Table 11).
Numbers 9 and -9 correspond to the maximum frequency shift, +2,25 MHz and -2,25 MHz respectively. The shift space
between two adjacent values is 0,25 MHz.
4. Carriers A/V ratio switching:
a) press button "-";
b) switch between 12 dB and 16 dB by pressing button "+".
5. Output signal switch off:
a) press button "-";
b) switch between RF ON and RF OFF by pressing button "+":"on" - RF ON, "of" - RF OFF
6) Regulation of audio carrier deviation:
a) press button "-";
b) set up the deviation by pressing button "+", (refer to table 12).
7) STEREO/MONO settings:
a) press button "-";
b) select the STEREO or MONO mode of operating by pressing button "+", ("A-" - mono, "A5" - stereo).
PROTECTION FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS
To prevent unauthorized access press buttons "-" and "+" simultaneously twice in 0,5 second. A writing "LO" appears on the
display and the controls are locked. To return to the normal operation without protection, repeat the procedure above.
SOUND SUBCARRIER DEVIATION SETTING
The default setting of the sound subcarrier deviation is ± 50 kHz when the input signal level is 1 kHz / 775 mV in both the audio
inputs. The regulation of ± 6 dB audio signal input sets up through a software. Refer to Table 12 for this kind of setting.
OUTPUT SIGNAL LEVEL ADJUSTMENT
By means of the screwdriver, use the trimmer near to the output F connector in order to adjust the RF output signal level (see
Figure 1, position 5). The output level adjustment range is 0 ÷ -20 dB.
